The Patriots have several playmakers that helped get them over the top in this game but I thought Cameron was the best of them as he generated several big runs that resulted in first downs while producing several rushing scores on the night. This Murfreesboro native is dynamic with the ball in his hands and one of the best pure runners within the Oakland offense. His athleticism and speed was definitely needed in this game and a true difference maker that helped produce a Patriots victory.

Also worth mentioning is Donte Cameron Donte Cameron 6'0" | 175 lbs | ATH/QB Oakland | 2027 TN , a quarterback at Oakland High School. Cameron got things rolling for the Patriots’ offense, punching in the first score of the night from a few yards out. Cameron’s size and excellent decision-making ability make him a dangerous gunslinger to sleep on.

He has smooth footwork and understands how to set up blocks to create explosive opportunities. Cameron consistently finishes runs with power, making him a threat inside the red zone. His vision allows him to find cutback lanes when defenses overpursue. When Oakland needs a momentum-changing play, Cameron can deliver with a burst that separates him from defenders. He is one of the most dangerous open-field players in the Murfreesboro area.

There were many people you could have argued for giving this to, given that it was a complete team win.

But Cameron made too many big plays not to receive it. The junior signal caller was impressive all night as a dual-threat player.

He made multiple big-time throws, but the biggest plays came with his legs, including a 40+ yard touchdown run to give Oakland the lead late.

Cameron is a well-put-together player who makes you respect all of his abilities, as we saw on Thursday night.

He’s one of the more underrated players in the Midstate and will be an X-factor on Oakland’s potential state championship run.
