The state of Michigan has a ton of talent up and down the rankings. From the trenches to the skills, there are plenty of “Dudes” in the Mitten State. In this article, we're going to be breaking down some of the deepens position groups with a ton to offer. From top end talent to the deepest positions, we're going to break it all down!

“ATH”

This one might be cheating since “ATH” isn't really a position, I can't help but to look up and down the rankings and find absolute studs. A pair of Detroit King boys lead the charge in that category, with [player_tooltip player_id='1233561' first='Darryl' last='Flemister'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1687223' first='Don' last='Spillers III'] both drawing major P4 attention. Both have played all over both sides of the ball for the Crusaders, and have been game-changers. I would even put Detroit Catholic Central's [player_tooltip player_id='1687171' first='Gideon' last='Gash'] as the best of the bunch, at 6'4 with track speed and insane football IQ. A P4 talent with all of the upside in the world. Kenowa Hills star [player_tooltip player_id='483197' first='Lundon' last='Hampton'] has been recruited incredibly hard, including by Big-10 schools like Michigan State. A track star that can flat out scoot, both at the WR and DB position. [player_tooltip player_id='571382' first='Giancarlo' last='Vitti'] from Divine Child proved in the playoffs last year that he can be an X-Factor for his squad. Further down, guys like [player_tooltip player_id='513530' first='Connor' last='Imsland'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1682880' first='Carson' last='Schick'] have boosted their stock a ton over the last 365 days. North Muskegon's gadget guy [player_tooltip player_id='1157447' first='Cullen' last='Bartos'] has stepped into a bigger role for his team, and continued to contribute at a high level on both sides of the ball. A guy like Xavier Creguer from Mt. Pleasant is extremely interesting, as he led his team from the QB position to Ford Field in 2025, but he could realistically play just about anywhere in the skill positions. From top to bottom, this group is special, and could have an unreal 2026 season.

WR

The wide receiver position is an easy choice here. First of all, our #1 position in the class is held by Harper Woods wideout [player_tooltip player_id='547739' first='Dakota' last='Guerrant']. Just behind him are guys like [player_tooltip player_id='1261323' first='Charles' last='“Tre” Britton III'] from Belleville and [player_tooltip player_id='489268' first='Chad' last='Willis'] from Orchard Lake St. Mary's who both hold a plethora of P4 offers. Further down are guys I fully expect to be extremely productive players at the next level, like Kenowa Hills wideout [player_tooltip player_id='1538594' first='Will' last='Fussman'], and Dakota's [player_tooltip player_id='1337362' first='Santino' last='Lucci']. Both guys have P4 potential and have insanely high ceilings. Slot guys like [player_tooltip player_id='1157443' first='Tyden' last='Schuch'] from Caledonia and [player_tooltip player_id='1395235' first='Bradley' last='Boyk'] have the potential to create explosive plays every time they line up. Our top 50+ wideouts in the rankings are legitimate athletes who I feel can be extremely productive at the next level. Even guys on the watchlist (for now) like [player_tooltip player_id='1687442' first='Bryce' last='Graham'] and DeKariel Johnson are in a Cass Tech system that produces great talent at an insane clip. From top to bottom, you can't go wrong with any of these guys.

EDGE

This group is extremely exclusive, so every guy on this list is an absolute baller. Starting off with Muskegon's [player_tooltip player_id='1264786' first='Recarder' last='Kitchen'], who committed to Michigan early and has remained loyal throughout their turnover. He's a physical specimen that can flat-out wreck an offense for 4 quarters. Speaking of physical specimen, [player_tooltip player_id='1684275' first='Myles' last='Smith'] from Farmington is exactly that. At 6'5 240, this kid is a PROBLEM off the edge. Saline's [player_tooltip player_id='510691' first='Dawoud' last='Issa'] and Groves pass rusher [player_tooltip player_id='1667539' first='Malik' last='Cipullo'] present mismatches for tackles all over the state. Orchard Lake St. Mary's DE [player_tooltip player_id='666202' first='Chase' last='Arnold'] currently resides on our WL, but that will change with our next rankings update.

QB

It is VERY easy to see how deep this class is. This is another class that a better part of 35+ of our ranked QBs will see playing time at the collegiate level. A top 5 of [player_tooltip player_id='1157439' first='Duke' last='Banta'], [player_tooltip player_id='1262603' first='Wynn' last='Diegel'], [player_tooltip player_id='489263' first='Jabin' last='Gonzales'], [player_tooltip player_id='1317918' first='Alex' last='Waszczenko'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1689091' first='Sam' last='Eyde III'] is hard to beat. Mix in guys like [player_tooltip player_id='1149421' first='Kendall' last='Franklin'], who took over for former #1 player in the country Bryce Underwood, Kenowa Hills gunslinger [player_tooltip player_id='572246' first='Grayson' last='Fellows'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1157442' first='Jack' last='DeVries'] and you've got a pretty deep top 10. Stock risers like [player_tooltip player_id='1173539' first='Braylon' last='Jefferson'] from Northview, [player_tooltip player_id='1589490' first='Anderson' last='Adams'] from Lake Orion, [player_tooltip player_id='1315775' first='Madix' last='Gorleski'] from Vassar and more have seen significant bumps in their rankings, and will continue to see their stock rise as they perform this spring. We have a good amount of small school guys like the aforementioned [player_tooltip player_id='1157442' first='Jack' last='DeVries'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1315775' first='Madix' last='Gorleski'], as well as guys like [player_tooltip player_id='1255565' first='Gabriel' last='Kauffman'] from Montabella, who just found their way to a state title appearance in the 8-Player divisions, and Juanito Escamilla from Chesaning has started to put his name on the map recently as well. This group is deep with a mixture of dual threats, pocket passers and pure freak athletes.
