Myles’ rise has been pretty fun to watch. At this point last offseason, Myles was quiet on Twitter and held zero offers. Now, he’s a blue-chip prospect at DE. His combination of size, length, and bend is extremely rare, and he’s continued to improve over the past year. If I were to redo the 2027 rankings today, he’d be the #1 EDGE in the class.
Last update, I ranked Myles at #81 after a super promising showing at the Wayne State Mega Camp. I only watched a couple of reps, but it was enough to greatly impress me.
This season, he’s proven to be far better than my conservative #81 estimate. Heck, Myles has made a great case for being the #1 DE in the class.
The two most obvious things that make Myles stand out are length and bend. Myles has elite measurables and can nearly touch his shoulder to the ground while still staying balanced. Additionally, he’s athletic, explosive, and most see grand upside. Still a considerable amount to improve, but the upside is nearly unmatched.
As I said on Twitter, Myles is lengthy and athletic. Really eye-popping size and obvious upside.
Skill-wise, Myles does his best work when executing a quick athletesism-based move, like a dip and rip or a spin. The more power-based moves are where Myles gets into trouble. Plus, he needs more polish with his counters. All-around pretty standard for a super high upside, underweight defensive end. A player that D1s should have on their Watch List, and someone who I expect to be a GLIAC guy at the absolute least.
