What a special 2025 for Christian. He was able to showcase all of those special physical traits that allow him to deal some real damage. He is as versatile as they come, with the ability to take sweeps and pitches, get downfield and become a deep threat, or just be an option in the screen game for a changeup. His burst of speed is ridiculous, and he has the instincts to know when to cut, when to be patient, and when to put his foot on the gas and showcase his breakaway speed. His hands are reliable, and he has even shown his ability to throw the ball on some special trick plays. An all around ball player that has a ton of value at the next level.

I continue to be impressed with Gillings’ performances for Farmington. In his first season with the Falcons, he managed to have quite an impressive season. 1200 yards, 15 TDs, 4INTs, and 5PBUs.
We’ve seen it over the years at Novi, but this season, Gillings was able to fully showcase his route running and speed. At 0:53, Gillings simply runs past the defense, gets wide open, and makes an easy TD catch. At 1:03, Gillings forces the opposing DBs hips to turn inside. He then cuts back outside, earning easy separation and another explosive play. Needless to say, Gillings is a very fluid athlete and an excellent route runner. Defensively, he showcases that same fluidity and burst.
Gillings is likely to earn a rankings boost, and I feel he’ll find luck this offseason in the recruiting scene.

Gillings was as solid as ever! This is a good route runner with above-average length and catch radius for his size.
Just like last year, I thought Christian was a very efficient route-runner. Comebacks and deep balls alike, he was consistently earning separation and getting himself in a position to make a play. He also looked a bit taller and more filled out than last time, which is good. My one nitpick is hands- Christian has the occasional drop.
I expect Christian to get college looks next season. My opinion is that Christian has a GLIAC ceiling and a D3 floor.

Gillings has grown a tremendous amount in the last year. My first time watching Gillings was a little under a year ago at the MHSAA Evaluation camp in Brighton. There, he was a smaller, slim receiver with above-average route running for his age.
His most recent clips on Twitter show noticeable growth. The biggest area of growth comes in his change of direction. His routes were above average last year, but now, I’d call some of these routes great or even excellent. He was a game-changing player in the KLAA West last year, and I think he’ll have an even bigger season as a Junior. Look out.

Gillings has some solid tape, and he honestly did enough last season to deserve a ranking. Though, I just can’t put a finger on that tier WR he is.
The tape is solid. Offensively, he’s shown an ability to lay out for balls, overall good body control, and good ball tracking. However, there’s a lack of great RAC plays- something I like to see with smaller slot receivers. I think he has it in him, though! Christian has a few standout routes on tape, and having seen him last summer, I know he’s a good athlete.
Plus, Christian has a few great defensive highlights. Very impressed with his instincts at DB.
