Tyden is the prototypical slot receiver that college coaches should be looking for. His natural speed and quick twitch ability allows him to get in and out of his breaks creating separation very easily. Schuch also has very good hands and some of the best hand eye coordination I’ve seen at the high school level in a long time. Those intangibles easily turn him to a quarterback’s best friend. At 5’10 155 pounds he has decent height but is undersized which I believe factors into why he is an underrated recruit right now. What will help his case is him being a big piece of the special teams return game at Caledonia, that should translate to the next level.

This dude is a certified ATHLETE! Every time he gets the ball in his hands, he makes something happen. On special teams, he’s a dangerous return man that has the top end speed to find holes in the coverage and exploit them for big-time yardage. Out of the slot, Tyden has a quick get-off, possesses great acceleration and superb change of direction. He’s the kind of athlete that you look to just get the ball in space and let him work. Toss him some short and intermediate routes or screens and let his vision, speed and elusiveness do the talking. I really like what he put on film in 2025, and am looking forward to seeing what else he can accomplish with that Caledonia program that has been no stranger to dangerous athletes.

I’ve watched Tyden maybe more than anyone in the class of 2027. Countless in-person offseason evals when he was an underclassman, but this was my first time watching Tyden under the Friday Night Lights.
Quickly- Tyden was a phenomenal underclassman WR. Extremely explosive, detailed routes, wide catch radius, and really, really good hands.
That part of his game has changed very little. Tyden is a bit taller, and he’s still a fluid athlete, runs excellent routes, and has sure hands. He was consistently getting open against a great DB. His routes, release, body control, and hands are at a Divison 1 level. Still some of the best in the class.
A few question marks remain. First, I don’t know how Tyden is as a blocker. When Caledonia ran the ball, Tyden would usually run a go in order to bait Rockford’s man coverage to fly with him. Few blocking opputunities, and almost zero information in that regard.
Then, there’s the fact that the target volume isn’t excellent. With Caledonia’s QB out with an AC sprain, it’s been tough.
If Tyden tests well this offseason, I think he’s easily a high-tier D2 prospect. Heck, I still wouldn’t leave G5 out of the question. I (still) think Tyden is one of the best-kept secrets in Michigan.

After a lot of back and forth, I decided to put Tyden on the Watch List for now.
Though if I were to pick one receiver from this list to have a breakout year, it would be Tyden.
Earlier in Tyden’s HSFB career, he was a super small, but extremely shifty slot receiver. Despite being the smallest man on the field for a while, Tyden was still able to consistently find himself open thanks to high-end footwork. Plus, he has some hops. Dude is explosive and reps the little things. Truly one of the most consistently eye-popping receivers during the offseason.
I’m still waiting on a good Varsity season from Tyden. Plus, I know that he’s grown quite a bit. Most young athletes that I see hit a growth spurt tend to hit an athletic speed bump- completely normal.

- Body has grown significantly since last I saw him
- Hoped to get a better look at Tyden. A few uncatchable balls thrown his way.
- Still pretty twitchy. I trust he still has good hands. Will honestly probably go down in rankings, but that doesn’t mean I don’t beleive in him.
- Looking forward to big-time Junior season

Tyden has grown significantly since the last time I saw him. Usually I mean this figuratively; no, I mean this literally.
Instead of 5’6″, I want to say Tyden was around 5’9″-5’10”. Still ran good routes, but not as dominant as I’m used to seeing. Granted, I was only able to get a good look at a couple of reps.
Interested in how Tyden progresses throughout this offseason. Considering his ranking, I’m still a big believer.

I’m still holding strong for Tyden. This dude is a magician when given an opportunity to showcase his skillset. His route running, hands, and all-around quickness rivals the best players in this class. Still just waiting for Tyden to hit a hot streak. His time will come, and I’m remaining patient. I know this guy can be a star.

I still hold strong in believing Tyden will be a Division 1 prospect.
Tyden has yet to leave a significant mark on the Varsity level, and he honestly still has to hit that growth spurt. However, this past offseason, Tyden displayed some of the best route-running, change of direction, hands, and explosiveness I’ve seen from any WR prospect.
Seriously, I’d be SHOCKED if Tyden didn’t eventually earn GLIAC scholarships at the very least. As long as Tyden can stay healthy and have another good offseason, he’ll be a very, very productive high school football player next season.
So yes, Tyden remains in the top 20 and should still be ranked pretty high after the massive February update.

This is Tyden’s time to shine. I’ve covered Tyden for a while now, and even though he’s still massively undersized, I think he’s ready for a breakout sophomore season. This offseason, I watched Tyden workout on several occasions. In short, Tyden is incredibly athletic, smart, and has won many reps against some of West Michigan’s best. I don’t have much else to say other than look out for Tyden this season. He’s ranked #9 in the class of 2027 for a reason, and that reason is that he’s a D1 prospect in my book. I can’t wait to watch Tyden perform in the three years of Varsity football ahead of him.

I’ve been cautiously optimistic about Tyden for a long time, but I’ve never been more confident after the Westside QBs training and Western MI Camp. As of today, I’d call Tyden an elite route-runner with extremely sticky hands. Of course, you can’t have elite route running without swift feet and great change of direction. On top of that, even though Tyden is quite small, his catch radius is impressive. Tyden is extremely ahead of the curve in just about every category. The next big step for Tyden will be succeeding as an undersized WR in the OK Red.
