I have gotten a ton of looks at a variety of 2028 prospects and have been able to gather a ton of possible breakout candidates as we head into the fall. Here's who you need to know as we continue the countdown to the season.

Max has the body type and initial mechanics to make me think that he could be in for a sneaky great season. He has an athletic and solid frame, which serves him both on the football field and on the hardwood. He moves well, and possesses a strong arm that can fire it to just about any part of the field.

Glen Lake will have a few big games that could be perfect breakout games that could significantly boost his stock on a bigger stage. I'll particularly be paying attention a few weeks into their season against St. Francis.

Caleb has been putting in the work so far this offseason. It seems like every couple of days I am seeing new clips from another event. He has shown steady improvement upon his bend, speed and overall motor. I love the way he mixes up his pass rush moves, with some power and finesse mixed in. He is continuing to evolve physically as well, putting on some good weight and still growing into his 6'3 frame. Given the production graduating from DCC from the talented 2026 class, Caleb has the opportunity to make the jump and be productive early and often and become a major breakout player this fall.

Jacob's raw strength and talent is apparent throughout his 2025 highlights, and showed flashes of what he could be as a consistent part of Cass Tech's varsity squad. At the TE position, he showed reliable hands and good route running. He creates a tough matchup with his mix of speed and size, which also serves him well defensively. He fires off quickly and can use his hands to keep the blocker from gaining leverage. He absolutely is still raw from what I see on film, but with an offseason of work, he could absolutely be a big-time breakout candidate in a few months.

From what I see on film, Fischer was a superb gadget guy for Swan Valley in 2025. They had him running the ball, throwing the ball, getting out in space and gashing defenses. His vision is in par with some of the top running backs in the state, and when he turns on the jets, it's hard to catch him. He's slippery and maintains balance through contact, and thrives on making guys miss. As far as the Saginaw area goes, there aren't many with this kind of high level film. I can't wait to see what he can do as he continues to expand in his role!

There's no reason that Ethan can't burst onto the scene in 2026, and I am calling my shot here. I really like what he offers in terms of strength, bend and his endless motor. As a pass rusher, he fires off low, gets around the tackle with speed and bend, and finishes at the QB. In the run game, he does a great job of getting down the line, and specializes in making the play from the back side. With the other known pieces on this Seaholm defense, I could see Ethan being a major piece of it this fall.

I have gotten a ton of looks at a variety of 2028 prospects and have been able to gather a ton of possible breakout candidates as we head into the fall. Here's who you need to know as we continue the countdown to the season.
