When I was sketching out this article, I kept coming back to Jack. I know there’s a fire in him after how last season ended at Ford Field. Jack is a great talent who has the arm strength to hurt a defense all over the field. Great velocity on his throws and the ability to fit balls into some tight windows. The other part of having something to prove is the undoubted disadvantage of playing at a smaller school. He doesn’t have the benefit of playing in Metro Detroit in front of tons of college coaches. I think this camp season for Jack will be massive. If he does what I know he is capable of, he will be impossible to ignore this spring.

While I’m not considering Jack for the #1 spot, I do think he’s the most fascinating prospect in this class.
He may be the most accurate QB in this class. Right now, he has the highest accuracy rating on my 2027 prospect spreadsheet. Watching Jack’s highlights and his game against Lawton (plus all of my prior viewings in years past), it seems like Jack can hit his receivers in his sleep. It’s insane how many of his throws are flawlessly in stride and on-time. Go’s, outs, digs, post, you name the route, and I almost garuntee that Jack will put it on the money 9 times out of 10.
Jack is susceptible to ugly INTs, where he doesn’t properly read the defense before ripping it to his first read. Plus, I am grading Jack on a bit of a curve because of the strength of schedule. There’s a LOT to love about Jack’s game, but some major question marks as well.
Jack reminds me a lot of Cade Peterson, who came out of Maple City Glen Lake (D8) back in 2018. Cade went on to play 48 games for Grand Valley State, passing for 7231 yards and 67 career TDs.

One of the best small-school QBs you’ll ever see. Plus, he’s got the size to potentially be an attractive D1 or D2 prospect.
Jack is able to read the field quickly and deliver accurate passes to all areas of the field. 0:45 in his JV tape shows a great pump fake to the running back, then a perfect pass to the receiver running a seam to the middle of the field. Then, 1:04 shows a great pass to his tight end while under pressure.
Fast forwarding to this season, he’s got even better throws- it’s obvious he’s improved. 1:05 shows a great throw on the run with a hand in his face. 1:18, same thing, except throwing to a comeback instead of a crosser.
Considering the big jump in performance from Freshman to Sophomore year, Jack is on track to be a college prospect. My honest opinion is that he’s a D2 guy, but that’s coming from someone who can’t offer anyone. Chance a D1 coach offers this summer; just gotta sling it at a camp.

It’s incredibly rare to have such a talented Quarterback at such a small school. Jack nearly led his program to a State Championship this season, largely because teams could not stop the air attack.
Jack has several very impressive highlights. His best highlights show him standing strong in the pocket, and delivering a quick strike, oftentimes toward the middle of the field. There are a few highlights in particular where Jack throws the ball flawlessly into tight coverage. I love the velocity on his throws, and it’s apparent that Jack is worlds above most small-school QBs. Though, he will likely need to clean up his footwork and prove he has decent pocket presence.

I have talked about Jack a number of times on here, but I haven’t gotten to see him in person yet! I can’t wait to do just that at our camp this weekend. He’s a young gunslinger with really good size and nice mechanics. He thrives with the deep ball but his tape shows an ability to hit short slants and timing routes with ease as well. A small school kid like Jack getting a shot to compete with athletes from all over should be a huge boost not only to his confidence but his recruiting status too!

Jack is currently in the semi-finals with his Schoolcraft squad fighting for a state title, but I want to look ahead to the offseason a little bit first! Jack is a stud QB at a small school. Getting your name out there at a small school isn’t always easy, but I think with a big time camp season in the offseason, we could see that attention filter his way. Jack has the size, poise and maturity you love to see from a young QB. I will be watching him closely to see him continue to dial in his mechanics and boost his stock! He has the high upside to really shock some people, and I will be looking forward to seeing what he can do with it in these coming months.

Jack doesn’t have any film from this season, but he’s shown enough from the previous season and offseason to make me feel good about this #6 ranking. His JV tape shows very good athleticism and consistent accuracy. With a clean pocket, Jack is able to make any throw to any part of the field.
Time will tell what I think about his 2024 tape. Either way, I know that Jack has great size and great talent. As long as he keeps up the offseason work, he’ll be a solid D2 prospect when it’s all said and done.

Jack is an ultra-rare small school gem of a Quarterback. He can ball as a freshman. He’s already way ahead of the curve when it comes to his fundamentals, accuracy, and IQ. Jack could be a special quarterback in this class if he puts in the effort required to earn it. Watch his film if you haven’t already because it’s extremely impressive.

Jack looks like a ready-made varsity guy. He is already physically built for high level football, and his skill level isn’t lacking at all. His film jumps out quickly as he displays an ability to both run, throw, and throw on the run! He is a strong arm, seems quite efficient and precise with his throws, and does a great job of reading and reacting to what the defense is giving him. I have talked about Jack a few times already, and I definitely am not done! This will be one of my must see kids this offseason and definitely in the fall.

Jack actually really surprised me when I watched his film. He jumps off the screen immediately when he showed off some impressive wheels, and then a nice pass that he dropped in a bucket over the receivers shoulder. I don’t think of a D7 school as a passing offense, but Schoolcraft could do just that with him as he can wheel and deal. His throwing motion looks natural and he seems to have good strength and isn’t laboring to get the ball downfield. His decisions are quick and confident which should bode well for him the next few years!
