- A super well-rounded football player.
- Can play RB, DB, on-ball linebacker, off-ball linebacker, and a variety of other positions.
- Excellent contact balance. Always runs hard.
- Extremely fluid & explosive athlete
- Quick to react on defense
- Recently, I’ve seen Lundon rep DB. I like his upside there.

Good to see Lundon out there again. The same explosive player I’m used to.
- Good change of direction
- Great size
- Still a 2027, so wore a white shirt and probably wasn’t looked at closely by most colleges
In-season, I saw Lundon produce a handful of great reps showcasing good physicality on both sides of the ball. Expecting offers in a year’s time at the absolute latest.

Lundon is an excellent player and a high-volume contributor for Kenowa Hills.
Offensively, he mainly plays RB. He had quite a few between-the-tackles runs in addition to reverses. In short, when it comes to RB, Lundon is a good athlete but lacks polish in several areas. First, his vision and change of direction can be improved upon. There were times when Lundon struggled finding a hole, and other times when I think Lundon had the right idea, but didn’t have the twitchiness (or contact balance) to get past a defender.
Defensively, Lundon was an on-ball OLB / EDGE rusher. Although I don’t think he has the size to be recruited at EDGE, I was generally impressed with Lundon’s bend and active hands.
Again, great athlete- just needs to focus on the little things this offseason!

Lundon came on my radar during the Division 7 State Championship game. Honestly, he was one of Lumen Christi’s best defensive players. Look at his second highlight below. I remember being in the press booth watching him (#4) that entire play. The effort he showed there and in several other plays is sensational. He was only in the game for about half of the defensive snaps, but he was a huge standout there. He already has some Division 1 attention and I do expect those offers to hold up throughout his high school career.

The Mitten is already stacked with talent in the rising 2027s, led by a few major names already holding weighty college football offers as 8th graders. One of the must-knows is Lumen Christi High School’s Lundon Hampton, who reportedly measures in at 6’1, 175 lbs., and has earned offers from Central Michigan and Saginaw Valley State, two Michigan-based programs that excel at identifying in-state talent. The 8th-grade highlights show off a playmaker with a ton of length, a good mix of quickness, balance, and physicality as a ball carrier, and toughness, aggression, and effort defensively. There’s a lot he can do on the football field, and he was a three-phase contributor last fall who made plays no matter where he lined up, and Hampton looked particularly dominant as a kick returner. I also find his frame very promising and holds the capacity to blow up these next four years. Hampton has been grinding on the summer camp circuit as well and has performed well at Kent State and Michigan State’s prospect camps this past June. He’s also got a solid multi-sport background of basketball and track and is capable of some impressive displays of athleticism on the hardcourt as well. Check out this dunk during warm-ups from an AAU game in April: ?s=20rnThe ball in-hand and tackle breaking ability, physicality, and multi-sport background all combine for a good base of skills going into his high school campaign.

Lundon showed to be a phenomenal running back who was able to shake defenders like no other. Lundon was quick on his feet which allowed him to be highly elusive when partaking in the competition drills. Lundon’s speed was also displayed during the 40-yard exercise, where he put up one of the fastest times at camp with a 5.03. This young man’s attitude towards the game was made apparent in the way that he was focused on the coaching points being made and showed to make proper adjustments based on the coach’s directions. Lundon is bound to be a fantastic back for years to come, with a versatility that could see him excel anywhere on the field.

I love an athletic family where the good genes are shared. A month or so ago we wrote about 2027 prospect

who is also a 2027 prospect from Michigan that recruiting fans should know early. At 6-foot-1 and 170-pounds, the future Lumen Christi Catholic star was clearly the alpha male on his eighth-grade team this past season. Primarily playing Running Back and Linebacker, it wasn’t a difficult task to figure out who was getting the ball on offense and who to run away from, on defense. It doesn’t take a football genius to watch a kid like Hampton and know he has the potential to be special. His long legs allowed him to routinely outrun everybody on the field, his full body strength and twitch allowed for him to move and react quicker and his dominating ability made others gravitate towards him. Football isn’t the only activity he’s elite at. On the basketball court, he’s already dunking with ease and even dropped 27 points along with 15 boards at the CP3 Top 40 game. Did I mention this renaissance kid also loves photography? Hampton is a great all-around student-athlete who should have a lot of opportunities and open doors in his future.
