There’s not much left to say about Will, but I still feel like he is being undervalued. His footwork is impeccable, his ability to win separation is incredible thanks to great route running, and there is no bad throw to him. His catch radius is a mile wide. His size and frame certainly help, but the athleticism he displays in the air is far beyond what most players at this level can do. There is no way he should slip out of the G5 range at the very least. This season has the potential to be absolutely unreal for Will and his entire Kenowa Hills squad.

Just as I thought, Will has made notable improvements in the past year. I’d say he’s improved in just about every category. For one, Will has better footwork on his release and throughout his routes. Better efficiency and less wasted movement. Ball skills have also improved, as I watched Will catch a few difficult passes in tight coverage. Additionally, he looks a tad bit bigger, and I know he’s looking to continue filling out his frame.
Good camp, but even better tape. As I’ve said several times already, Will has elite tape. Amazing physicality, and high-end effort.

Will does a little bit of everything for his squad. He’s a high effort kid on both sides of the ball, and has the ability to change a game quickly. He has good ball skills and has the size and physicality to go up and get it and finish through contact. When the ball doesn’t come his way, he’s another wideout with the tenacity to get downfield and block to help turn a big gain into 6 points. He has received some MAC attention, and I think that suits him nicely. It will be interesting to see how much of a boost he gets this offseason, but he is extremely deserving of a top 5 spot on this list.

I mentioned Will earlier in the season, a little while after he earned an offer from Central Michigan. My prior evaluation still stands with regards to why Will is earning a big rankings boost next week.
Rarely does effort truly stand out to me at the receiver position. Honestly, most receivers take several plays off, especially when they know the ball likely won’t come their way. Will is one of the very few receivers who never takes a play off. RB breaks a big run? Will is going to be downfield working on a block. Running a route where he knows he’s unlikely to be targeted? Still gives full effort.
Plus, Will has improved his abilities with the ball. The effort shows up with better contact balance, in addition to improved speed. If Will is able to make this kind of jump in a year, I could only imagine what a few years in college will do.

I’ve started my deep dive into the 2027 WR for an upcoming rankings update, and the prospect spreadsheets I send out to colleges.
Yesterday, I watched

‘s highlights, as well as watched his full game against Lowell (on NFHS).
Will has outperformed what I thought his ceiling was this season. Will’s #1 trait is his effort. Dude is all gas every single down. Every release is quick and explosive, every block is aggressive, and his routes are much more crisp than I remember. Plus, Will has been extremely efficient after the catch. He can stiff-arm, lower his shoulder, and straight-up run through arm tackles. Again, it’s elite effort and play speed, which also means he’s incredibly fit and well-conditioned. The only nitpicks I have about Will’s game is that he doesn’t have elite speed, and I’m not sold on his hands.
Doing all of the little things right. I was honestly a little surprised when I saw the CMU offer, but not anymore.

showed last season makes me incredibly excited for what he can do this season. Whether it was taking short passes and screens to the house, or stretching the field vertically with his deep ball prowess, he was a threat to hurt the defense from anywhere. Will can also out-muscle a lot of DBs for position and high point the football when it comes his way, making him a threat in the red zone as well. Kenowa Hills has been making some major improvements lately, and

Will has been steadily working throughout this offseason.
I can say with a high degree of confidence that Will has made numerous improvements since the beginning of the year. Only a few clips on Twitter, but I already see slight improvement in Will’s route running, particularly his foot speed. I’m also confident that Will has improved his contested catch ability. Things like contact balance and all-around YAC ability are TBD, and honestly, a lot harder to work on with no pads
To me, Will looks like he’s on track for a ton of college attention next offseason. I currently view him as a fringe D2 guy.

If you follow football in West Michigan, you know that Kenowa Hills is starting to build something interesting. They have their coach, they have their QB, and with Will, I think they have their weapon. Fussman is going to be an extremely important piece to the puzzle for KH.
Will’s film shows a great deal of versatility. I was surprised by the amount of short passes and screens he got, but he did a great job of breaking them for long explosive plays. He also has the size outside to deal some damage. Will can out-muscle a lot of DBs for position and high point the football, something that is also on display defensively. Will has the chance to blow his ranking out of the water with a big season in an offense that should promote some big numbers.

- A solid 2024 season in a brand-new offense
- Has size to be a great outside reciever
- All-around raw; would love to see better speed, route-running
- Could have an incredible 2025 season if he works his tail off this season
- In a VERY WR friendly offense
- Can easily develop into a GLIAC prospect

Another Class of 2027 prospect,
Will Fussman

has an opportunity to have an incredible 2025 (Junior) season. Right now, he’s an average outside receiver.
Will is able to run a good variety of routes and flashes good athleticism. He’s a prime target or KH, has excellent size, and is utilized very effectively.
Though, as I said, I don’t think Will is above average in many areas. But- he has the foundation to make very vast improvements this offseason. Next season, I’d love for Will to work on athleticism. More detailed routes, better change of direction, and better speed. On top of that, finding a way to sprint through his routes and make tough catches is a must. Plus, learning to be more physical is always helpful.
The main takeaway I want from this evaluation is upside. Will is far ahead of most 2027 prospects, and his significant sophomore role will undoubtedly serve him well in the future. IF Will has even a decent offseason with marginal improvements, I think he’ll have the Junior year production to be a low D2 prospect. If he truly works his tail off and shows massive improvements, I’d expect high-tier GLIAC attention with the possibility of being a rare late-bloomer D1 prospect.
