Fellows could be the #1 quarterback in Michigan. At the very least, he’s underrated. For one, he’s 6’0″, which is an important benchmark for some colleges. Plus, Grayson is athletic enough to consistently evade pressure and make plays outside of the pocket.
Most importantly, Grayson can absolutely sling it. A lot of his throws are quick reads on short routes. In those instances, Grayson is able to rip the ball into the receiver’s hands with excellent velocity. In other moments, Grayson is able to be very effective passing the ball deep downfield. Like just about all High School QBs, Grayson is prone to some mistakes, and his pocket presence & pressure evasion needs some work. Still, he’s a very talented player who deserves some MAC attention this offseason.

Grayson is another really solid performer from out Stock Up Showcase, and also did a fantastic job of developing over the course of the 2024 season. Grayson notched a lot of valuable experience and I think 2025 will be a big leap for Fellows. I think his arm talent and mechanics are far above a lot of QBs in his class. He makes difficult throws look easy. He shows a lot of nice accuracy and a ton of poise in the pocket. I will be keeping close tabs on Fellows over the next couple of years big time.

I’ve spoken about Grayson a few times over the past week. I was impressed with what I saw from him in the playoff game against Coopersville, even if it was far from his best game.
Grayson has far above-average pocket presence, off-platform accuracy, IQ, and overall processing. He also has good accuracy and mechanics, but improvements in these areas would take Grayson’s game to a new level.
All in all, he’s solidly placed at #4 in our QB rankings. I fully expect Grayson to be a GLIAC prospect at the very least once his HSFB career is over.

#10
I suspect that this wasn’t Grayson’s best game, but I still came away impressed with his abilities. He’s in what I’d call a west-coast style offense, utilizing a ton of quick-game and well-timed deep shots.
With zero pressure, Grayson stands strong in the pocket while flashing his eyes between reads. Most of the time, Grayson was able to quickly find a receiver on a short slant/stick/etc.
With a little pressure, Grayson can usually step up in the pocket while still keeping his eyes downfield. There were a few times when I thought Grayson bailed the pocket a little early, but still, the VAST majority of QBs I watch have zero pocket presence- Grayson is definitely ahead of the curve there.
That said, Grayson is excellent when outside of the pocket. I didn’t see his accuracy take a hit when on the run, and there were a couple of very impressive throws. A lot of it, again, comes with Grayson’s ability to constantly read the field. I watch a lot of QBs who seem to lose focus when scrambling- either committing to the run or locking in on a single receiver. Not Grayson.
There was one instance in particular where Grayson threw an excellent ball down the right sideline, splitting a DB and incoming safety. Although that pass was incomplete, it proved to me that, at his best, Grayson can complete true D1 college-level throws.
There was one major inconsistency in Grayson’s game- overthrows. Like a lot of QBs, Grayson struggles with overthrowing deep balls. However, a much larger issue is Grayson’s overthrows on all routes. Touching on the deep balls specifically, most of the overthrows were very, very slight. Pretty fixable. Like I said, Grayson also overthrew a few shorter routes. In particular, he overthrew a stick route that ended up being picked off. I also understand a part of this could be due to receivers running undisciplined routes, stopping short of their intended distance. I would suspect these overthrows could be a result of mechanics/throwing motion, but I quite honestly don’t know enough about QB mechanics to say for certain.
I currently view Grayson as a fringe D1 prospect. I actually think he’s better than a few D1-offered QBs I’ve seen. I’m looking forward to seeing how colleges end up evaluating Grayson!

- Phenomenal stats through four weeks
- Consistently great improvisor
- Consistent fundamentals
- Great zip on the football
- Continuously elevates his team
- Still has a year before D2s really start looking at 2027s; definitely a D2 guy in my eyes right now, but could creep into the D1 conversation with a bigger sample size + improvement over the next year

It’s not shocking that Grayson doesn’t have any offers, considering he’s a 2027 prospect. Though, I’ve seen a lot less talk about Grayson over the past few months.
I’m incredibly excited to see Grayson lead Kenowa Hills in the newly formed River Cities Alliance. This is a prospect whose been working incredibly hard for a long time, and he finally gets his chance to shine very soon. For one, Grayson has decent size, long limbs, and is sneaky-athletic. Whenever I watch Grayson, I’m surprised by how well he can use his feet. In addition, he seems to be way ahead of the curve with a few advanced skills such as pocket presence and off-schedule playmaking. I expect Grayson to use his feet a lot this season, and I expect him to convert a ton of off-schedule throws. I feel that it might be difficult for the offense to be perfectly on-schedule because of the overall talent of Kenowa Hills, so it might be difficult to scout Grayson in terms of on-time pocket passing. Regardless, I expect a great season from Grayson followed by a very productive 2025 offseason.

Grayson is going to be a good varsity quarterback. How good? Time will tell. I’ve watched Grayson enough to feel great about his playmaking ability, fundamentals, and accuracy. He’s mainly a pro-style passer, but can use his legs to make plays when he has to. He’s good at reading the field and sometimes throws with great touch. I am extremely excited to see him be the full-time starter for Kenowa Hills in the newly formed River Cities Alliance.
