Anderson came away with the QB MVP, and it was evident he had a shot early on. He moved well during the testing portion, and showed off the great measurables. Once he got the ball in his hand, he wowed coaches and scouts even more. Great timing, clean footwork and a great release made him a complete package. He led receivers, fit the ball in windows and showed that he can drive the ball downfield. I was fairly familiar with Anderson going in, but he absolutely raised his stock in my eyes.

Anderson will improve as the season goes on. Throughout the offseason, I heard nothing but great things about Anderson. Great mechanics, ball launches out of his hand, etc. I saw all of that on Thursday- the talent is obvious. Though Anderson did have those first-game jitters. A little uncomfortable in the pocket, rushed some throws, and had a few very uncharacteristic missed throws. I did love what I saw at times. Anderson’s production will skyrocket once he gets more reps in and gets more comfortable at the Varsity level.

I was happy to see Anderson as QB1 yesterday night. I missed seeing him in the offseason, but I’m super happy I got to witness his talent last night.
Watching Anderson in the first half, he looked like he was having a lot of fun. Looked very comfortable in the pocket and trusted his O-Line to give him time. When pressure caved in, he did a great job finding space and taking off. There was a moment in the first half where an LO drive got stalled, Anderson and some teammates went to the bench, and hashed out some issues. Frustration all-around, but that frustration was turned into a very constructive, productive conversation. Love seeing a QB and his teammates able to be frustrated without pointing fingers.
In terms of the passing game, Anderson was a little less accurate than I expected. He seemed to rush some of his reads, which led to inaccurate throws that should have been pretty easy. At other times, he second-guessed and held onto the ball for a tad long. All of these issues are quite common for a first-time Varsity starter, especially against a great defense.
Anderson is a great talent that will absolutely improve as the season goes on. I’m still very happy with where I have Anderson ranked.

Anderson sneaks in at QB5, past a few QBs with Division 1 offers. This is a big projection, but I do think he’s proven himself enough to warrant this ranking.
I love what Anderson has been able to show this offseason, despite some football time being taken in favor of baseball (no issue with that at all). Anderson has a big arm, consistent mechanics, and is able to make just about any throw. Whether Anderson ends up as QB1 or QB10 at the last iteration of these rankings, he’s absolutely underrated as of right now. There are a ton of D1-offered QBs with very little to no Varsity experience, and I absolutely think Anderson should be a major part of this conversation.

What I like about Anderson:
Talent. It’s apparent that Anderson is a talented Quarterback. Great arm talent, consistent mechanics, and I’m confident he can make every throw. Being a dual-sport athlete with Baseball helps, too. He’s also the only QB on this list without a D1 offer, though he hasn’t been able to compete in front of college coaches because of Baseball season.
Questions
I just need to get in front of Anderson. On tape, I have some minor nitpicks regarding his mechanics and throwing motion, but I don’t see those problems in his offseason training clips. I also don’t have verified height and weight- the height aspect being especially important. Of course, I also want to see him play in-season, which I will.

Anderson is an early contender for guys who could outplay his ranking before it’s all over with. Anderson is a talented QB with good size and the strength to push the ball downfield. I got the chance to see him work in person recently and I was thoroughly impressed by his arm strength and his great platform.
His highlights also displayed the ability to get out and pick up some first downs when necessary, just enough for defenses to have to be mindful of his legs. Anderson has an incredibly high ceiling and with his work ethic, I expect him to absolutely reach that ceiling.

I’m very excited to see what

is able to accomplish this season, and you better bet he’ll be ranked during this upcoming update.
For starters, Anderson trains with QualityQs, which I believe to be the single best Quarterback training service in Michigan. Seriously, I’ve seen countless Quarterbacks shoot up my rankings after training with Joe Boisture.
Now, onto his JV highlights. The tape begins with a large handful of highlights versus Northville. Plays like 0:36 demonstrate an ability to throw to his first read accurately and on time. Then, 0:58 is a great highlight showcasing Anderson’s ability to throw over a linebacker to the middle of the field. Several other highlights show good athleticism and a general willingness to scramble and fight for first downs.
Whether it’s 2025 or 2026, Anderson is on track to become a great Quarterback in the OAA Red.

As I mentioned over on X, Anderson was really the QB I knew the least about out of the 2027 class kids in attendance. He’s another one that passed the eye test with a good frame and good height. I noticed right away how powerful he was. His throws seemed to have some extra zip, and it was nearly effortless to push the ball deep. I really liked the way he moved in the scramble drills and how he snapped around to set his feet and throw. He probably raised his stock the most of anyone in my eyes. Definitely going to be wanting to see more from Anderson over the course of the offseason!
