5 Standouts Making Their 2029 Rankings Debut

We added a TON of new prospects to our class of 2029 rankings. Below are a few that shined through on film and in person and have earned their spot as a top 100 prospect in their class!    While the film is somewhat limited, the film and the elite size and frame made Sterling an easy addition. He projects well as a tackle currently, though sliding inside wouldn't be a negative either. His footwork is coming along, and he knows how to use his strength and leverage to clear a path in the run game. On top of that, he has a smooth kick step, allowing him to get out of his stance and get ready for whatever the defender throws at him. He doesn't lean or cross his feet, which lets him keep everything out in front. East Kentwood is on an insane trajectory right now, and Sterling is another big piece of the youth movement going on at EK.     Stop me if you've heard this before-Muskegon has another elite 2-way star!   I absolutely love the way Nash plays. At receiver, he runs clean routes, and knows how to use his length to go up and high point the ball over smaller DBs. Defensively, he posses impressive ball skills, allowing him to track the ball and use tremendous closing speed to acquire interceptions and rack up the PBUs. I am interested to see how Muskegon decides to use his skillset, because he is a huge "plus" on both sides of the ball.     I am ranking mostly on projection here as Tristan is still backing up current varsity starter and the latest Grand Valley State commit [player_tooltip player_id='1589490' first='Anderson' last='Adams']. What I did see on film is an absolute gamer that can deal real damage both with his arm and his legs. First off, he has all of the mechanics down. Quick concise throwing motion and the ability to drive the ball downfield. On top of the ability, he has the confidence. He makes quick decisions and doesn't hesitate when he feels he has his man. On the ground, he is able to scramble and buy time while keeping his eyes downfield, and if there are no options available, Locke gets vertical and outruns defenders with ease. I am extremely excited to see him continue to develop and get reps, because Lake Orion will be in good hands for years to come with Tristan at the helm!     Ryan represents a super under recruited area in general, but make no mistake-this dude can play! He has a truly relentless motor. Bennett plays to the whistle on every down. I love his quick first step, and the ability to bend and rip his way into the backfield. Beyond just speed, he has some spectacular strength that allows him to dislodge even the biggest tackles he faces. He has no quit in him and has a few different highlights where he is able to chase down the play from the backside. He doesn't get too far upfield and fights his way free in the run game, making him more dynamic than your typical pass rush specialist. Great trajectory so far with plenty of room to continue evolving!     Reid has a nasty attitude about him that allows him to play with his hair on fire. He's a powerful and aggressive off ball linebacker who reads, reacts and gets to his spot in a split second, and when he comes barreling through, blockers struggle to get a hand on him. When they do, he is able to fight through and make plays anyway. If he continues to get bigger, faster and stronger, he has a legitimate chance to earn real D1 traction, that's the kind of player he has already shown flashes to be. HUGE upside dude here at a program that is developing talent at an impressive rate.
