Heading into last season, we weren’t sure what to expect from North Muskegon. Transfers and graduation changed the roster significantly. Still, the Norsemen found themselves in a dogfight in the semifinals with the eventual state champion. Bartos has taken on a lot of different roles, but he really shines as a linebacker and running back. He’s a physical runner who is able to fall forward for extra yardage and run through weak arm tackles. He’s also a great run stuffing linebacker with great instincts and all of the aggression you could want. He’s will have the chance this fall to step up and be a tremendous leader for the Norsemen in 2025. North Muskegon will once again be a contender with Bartos and others taking on bigger roles.

- Game-breaking player in Division 7
- Nearly led his team to a State Championship appearance last year, despite major losses due to graduation and transfers.
- Will run through you on both sides of the ball. Great power as a RB, and will drive you backwards as a LB.
- 3 TDs in state semifinal against the eventual state champion.
- Highly under-appreciated player. One of the best high school football players in Michigan.
- Elite D3 prospect at a bare minimum. Athletic numbers will play a big role in recruitment.

Cullen is an electric two-way player for a State Championship contender. Something that very few prospects can claim.
Defensively, Cullen plays loose and fast. Most teams he faces are going to run the ball 90% of the time, and Cullen is excellent at stopping the run. Whether it’s a toss toward the sideline or inside zone, I love how Cullen navigates through traffic, fights through blocks, and earns tough tackles.
Offensively, Cullen sports high-end vision and contact balance. The competition he’s facing has no idea how to stop him most of the time.
Cullen straight-up doesn’t qualify for a breakout season because last season WAS his breakout year. I fully expect Cullen to be one of the most electric two-way players in Michigan again this year.
To touch on his ranking, I view Cullen as a likely Elite D3 prospect. If he tests exceptionally well, D2 programs are not out of the picture. I could see schools like Northwood, Hillsdale, and Hope liking Cullen quite a bit. I fear that Cullen does not fit the size threshold for many schools- that’s honestly the most significant roadblock for Cullen when it comes to college value.

Cullen was an absolutely unstoppable force in Division 7 last season. His tape shows good burst, good elusiveness, and a variety of solid open-field moves. On top of that, Cullen plays very fast on defense. Cullen is, without a doubt, a phenomenal high school football player and one of the best players in D7.
However, rankings are based on college potential. Cullen is generally smaller than most at his position, and RB/LB is just so incredibly saturated. This is a great high school football player who can and probably will be an asset to a Division 3 college football team in the future.

17 tackles in one game is absolutely insane. The main theme of Cullen’s tape is play speed. Cullen simply plays a step faster than all of his competition. His first highlight showcases this quite well. On the outside carry, Cullen is obviously more explosive and more physical than anyone on defense. At 0:35, Cullen takes a great pursuit angle and makes a tackle that I rarely see from small-school players. Cullen is someone who plays like he’s on an elite Michigan roster. There’s a reason why he’s ranked so highly, and I’m very impressed with the 3 games that Cullen has played thus far.

Lastly, we have Cullen, who is a super twitchy athlete from North Muskegon. Playing on Varsity, Cullen excelled as being a pass catcher out of the backfield. When he was given room to run, he would oftentimes juke a few guys before being brought down. There’s no doubt that his athletic foundation is amazing. As a defender, he’s quick to react to the run and isn’t afraid to get physical with his tackles. With a few years of continually working on his speed, explosiveness, etc, he could be a phenomenal prospect.
