<p>-Annually one of the marquee matchups, Dowling Catholic and Valley hooked up Friday night in West Des Moines. The Tigers got the best of their rival, 20-19. The game was tied at 17-17 heading into the final quarter, when Valley scored a Conley Harne field goal and the Maroons added a safety.</p>

<p>The schools have now split their last six meetings. Dowling won the regular-season matchup last year, and the Tigers took the meeting in the 5A state semifinals. </p>
