is a Division I prospect on the defensive side of the ball, while also serving as one of the better quarterbacks in Class 3A. Tied for the second-most touchdowns amongst returning players for next season, McIntire finished his junior campaign with 28 scores.
Through the air, McIntire completed 122-of-177 passes (68.9%) for 1,609 yards and 19 touchdowns. With the ability to take off and make defenders miss, McIntire added 118 carries for 118 and nine touchdowns on the ground, forcing defenses to account for both his arms and his leg. An elsuive runner that also throws a tight ball, McIntire could very well play the QB position at the next level if he wanted to.
As a DB, McIntire added 30.5 tackles, three tackles-for-loss and two picks to go with seven pass-breakups. His lower half is as strong as they come, he’s quick enough to keep up with receivers and powerful enough to bring down tight ends and help in run support.

‘s value as one of the most exciting two-way players in the state, continuing to excel playing at both QB and DB. McIntire completed just under 69% of his passes for 1605 yards, 19 TDs, and 8 INTs while rushing for 429 yards and 9 TDs on the ground. McIntire retained much of the strength, velocity, and overall athleticism as a passer while improving in terms of his accuracy compared to his sophomore season. McIntire may more likely play on the defensive side of the ball at the next level, and 2026 could be McIntire’s last season playing QB. McIntire will look to round out his time with the Lions under Center with a 3A championship.

received an offer from Iowa State following his freshman year with Clear Lake. Now that Matt Campbell’s staff has moved on to Penn State, that leaves McIntire without a committable offer.
Like Kriegel, McIntire is often the best athlete on the field against 3A competition. It’s fairly easy to tell simply by watching him drop back and launch a pass downfield for the Lions. But, again, like Kriegel, he doesn’t project to QB at the next level.
With a lower half that reminds CL head coach Aaron Stinsland of Iowa star CASH Zach Lutmer, McIntire also looks like he’ll play defensive back in college. A hard-hitting safety that can come up and deliver a shot to a ball-carrier, McIntire isn’t afraid to lay the boom. He can also cover running backs, wide receivers and tight ends in coverage.
This season, he posted 30.5 tackles, seven pass-breakups (PBUs) and two interceptions for the Lions.

The star QB for Clear Lake didn’t exactly match the statistical prowess compared to the other QBs on this list, but

continues to showcase his ability as a strong signal-caller who has been one of the biggest names to watch in the state. McIntire threw for 1605 yards, 19 TDs, and 8 INTs while rushing for 426 yards and 9 rushing TDs. McIntire did take a bit of a step back from his impressive sophomore debut, but he took steps forward with his consistency, with an improved 68.9% completion percentage, while also continuing to show good anticipation, athleticism, and strength as a dual-threat QB. McIntire continues to garner D1 attention as a DB, though he could make a case to earn offers as a QB at the D1 level very soon.

is leading the way for 4-1 Clear Lake, one of the top teams in all of 3A.
Under center for the Lions, McIntire has been super efficient, completing 69-of-87 passes (79.3%) for 921 yards and ten touchdowns. On the ground, his 58 carries for 242 yards and five scores have him sitting tied for fifth for most total touchdowns scored this season in 3A.
With an offer from Iowa State, interest from Iowa, Wisconsin and Nebraska, McIntire’s future at the college level is at DB. Though he can’t solely focus on playing in the secondary for Clear Lake, he’s been impactful for the Lions, registering six PBUs and two interceptions to go with ten tackles.

benefitted big time from having Iowa tight end commit, Thomas Meyer as his top receiver. The No. 2 athlete in 2027, McIntire completed 31 passes and nine touchdown tosses to the four-star TE.
Meyer certainly wasn’t a one-man show for Clear Lake, though, as McIntire finished the season with 100 completions for 1,749 yards and 25 scores to just four picks. A strong-armed QB that can make throws to both sides of the field and over the middle, McIntire’s offensive attack will look different in 2025, but expect the rising junior to continue to ascend as one of the better passers in 3A.
Also a Power 4 prospect, McIntire holds an offer from Iowa State to play safety at the next level.

McIntire was one of the first players in this class to receive a scholarship offer. Iowa State extended that opportunity all the way back in November of 2023, the beginning of his freshman year. The question isn’t will McIntire play college football, it’s where. McIntire threw 25 touchdowns against just four interceptions and rushed for a pair of scores as a sophomore quarterback last season. He’s a pass-first guy with arm strength and accuracy, but McIntire also extends plays and can tuck it and run. He totaled 31.0 tackles (23 solo, 2.0 TFL) and an interception as a dynamic defensive back capable of covering and supporting the run at a high level. McIntire impresses during his sophomore highlight video.
