Miller proved to be a problem for defenders in Class 1A at Regina the last three years. The talented ball carrier makes the moves up to 5A at Iowa City High this fall. He’ll be running to help the Little Hawks rebound from a rough season and to attract recruiting attention for them. Miller has reported great scholarship offers throughout the last few years but remains uncommitted heading into his final prep season. That should have college coaches showing up to games to see how he performs against the state’s best competition. Expect a seamless transition if Miller stays healthy. He’s a Power 4 running back operating in an offense with a high ceiling, one that can make teams pay if they focus too much on him.

One of several new additions to the City High program this offseason, Miller is a clock-controlling back that complements well what is expected to be a salty offensive line and stingy defense. Regina leaned on Miller heavily in reaching the state championship game last year and the Little Hawks hope to ride the dynamic back to a turnaround after last year’s struggles. Miller is a patient runner with keen vision that allows him to flow with the play while blocks are setting up. He uses what the defense gives him, but can take it to the house when he hits the crease. A good receiver out of the backfield and a willing and able blocker, it’s a complete running back package that has Power 4 schools vying for his services.

Holding offers from Miami (FL), Minnesota, Missouri, West Virginia and others, Miller has a chance to improve his recruiting stock even more this fall if he can replicate or improve his production from last season, now with the Little Hawks. Having two Division I offensive linemen upfront should help, and he’ll have a chance to help City High bounce back this fall.

Last season, he took 127 carries for 1068 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground, adding 16 receptions for 338 yards and nine scores.

Even with that said, the star tail back finished with 167 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.

On the field, Miller shows elite patience, balance and strength, waiting for holes to open up, bursting through tackles and gaining extra yards whenever they’re presented. With offers from programs like Iowa State, Miami (FL), Minnesota and Missouri, more and more schools should come calling after performances so far this season.
