picked up his first-evern Division I offer from Drake over the weekend.
A deep threat in the passing game that can take a slant over the middle to the house, go in-motion behind the line of scrimmage and force the defense to adjust, plus take a handoff out of the backfield and uses his quickness to weave in and out of cuts to evade tackles, Beachem is a weapon in a lot of ways for the Dragons.
Playing as a corner on defense and serving as a returner on special teams, Beachem’s ability to read-and-react quickly separates him from other ATH-type of players. Jumping a route or making a tackle in the backfield on a screen pass, Beachem can just as easily make a would-be tackler miss in the open field on returns.

did a little bit of everything for the Dragons on Friday night.
Making plays on a swing pass, an end-around and as a target in the immediate and down field passing game, Beachem served as a versatile weapon to attack the Centennial defense in a variety of ways. Even throwing a 37-yard touchdown pass to Kanaan Reinders in the second half, Beachem was the master of all trades for Johnston.
Oh, and don’t forget the interception he nabbed in the first half, either. At corner, Beachem read and reacted to a swing pass by Centennial, leaping in front of the pass and grabbing the interception to set up a score and extend the Dragon lead to 20-6 just before half.

Beachem served notice last season that he’s a big play waiting to happen. As a receiver, the sophomore turned seven catches into 161 yards with a touchdown. He averaged 12.7 yards on seven punt returns. Beachem shined the brightest on defense, however. He picked off six passes, taking half of them to the house. And twenty four of his 29.0 tackles were solo. Beachem’s 2024 highlight video reveals a cornerback with smooth actions back-peddling and in changing directions. The operation positions him to go get the ball when he’s challenged and discourages plenty of throws. Beachem breaks quickly on throws to deflect what he can’t intercept. The receiver clips impress, too. His speed and athleticism play well there.
