isn’t monstrously large at 6-foot-5 and 215-pounds, but his light frame allows for him to chase down quarterbacks when a play breaks down, a running back that takes off to the outside or a receiver that catches a screen pass.
Moving with purpose and keeping his eyes on the ball, Tecklenburg doesn’t let play-action or draws throw off his pursuit, finding the ball wherever it goes. He also uses his length to disengage with opposing offensive linemen, especially if the ball comes his way. He’ll keep his distance and shed a block to make the tackle for the Dragons.
In addition to a few Division 2 offers, Tecklenburg recently received an offer from Drake.

Tecklenburg has a frame and athleticism for college coaches to dream on. He can put on positive pounds and reach a significantly high ceiling in a strength and conditioning program on the next level. Of his 7.5 tackles in 2025, six were of the solo variety. He tacked on 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. Potential oozes out of his junior highlight video. On the first clip, Tecklenburg lines up off the far right end, explodes off of the snap and corrals the quarterback for a sack. It’s impressive straight line speed with long arms to tackle or get up in the passing lanes. On the second clip, he whips the left tackle around the outside and runs down the scrambling signal caller racing to the opposite side of the field. He’s unusually fast to the ball for a guy his size. Johnston moves him back and forth between the two outside spots. He works both equally well.
