Using a four-point stance to burst off the line of scrimmage for the Dragons, Gossling effectively uses that explosiveness to pop offensive linemen in the chest and get them off-balance. That same quickness and suddenness of movement allows him to slip through double-teams from offensive linemen, while also using his length and strength to plow through running backs that work to protect their quarterback in passing situations. Even if he’s held or is blocked well initially off the line, he’s a slippery defender that somehow manages to find his way into the backfield.
Gossling picked up offers from Drake and UNI since the beginning of April.
Injuries limited Gossling to six games during the 2025 campaign. The junior still managed to earn first-team all-district honors as a defense end after registering 12.5 tackles, 11 of which were of the solo variety. He also was credited with forcing a fumble. When watching his 11th-grade highlight video, we witness a wrecker of offensive game plans coming off of the edge. Gossling blasts off the snap, often putting the offensive tackle on his heels and off balance. If the opponent manages to get in front of him and lock him up, Gossling does well in separating with strength and violent hands. He keeps his eye on the ball and makes sure to play within the framework of the defense by setting the edge.
