At this moment, White leads the Class 1A ranks in total offensive yards while producing 20 touchdowns total, both through the air passing and on the ground. The Raiders senior offensive playmaker has been difficult to stop this year due to his speed, vision and overall football smarts that allows him to handle the quarterback role for his Moore Co. team. The Indians junior playmaker has been a man among boys on the field thus far, running around defenders, using his speed and natural athletic abilities to find the end zone on a consistent basis. Groves has already ran for over 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns and I wouldn't be surprised to see him finish with over 2,000 for the year. This two-way talent has been a key performer in the Tornadoes undefeated start thus far and someone that will continue to be leaned upon moving forward as the team's lead running back. Cannon is not only producing on offense but doing so as well on defense as one of the team's top tacklers. Pearl Cohn is playing some big time football right now, beating quality opponents and looking good while doing so. Tarleton is the leader of this Firebirds machine and while he may not put up big numbers on a weekly basis, he doesn't turn the ball over and he leads his team to victories. The Jaguars sophomore signal caller has been outstanding through the first five games of the 2023 season. He is accurate, efficient, dynamic and athletic along with showing poise beyond his years. Perkins has been near flawless leading his Southwind team to a current 5-0 start along with being the leader in the clubhouse to win their region title. Walker is dangerous with the ball in his hands as he can make that easy pass but also use his speed to run past defenders and that's exactly what he's done thus far. Germantown is a well balanced team with several high performing prospects, so the overall numbers may not be there right now but they are good enough and Walker has the capabilities of leading this team to a possible 6A state title. Wolcott has been the bell cow back for the FCS offense this season and I don't see that changing as we move forward. So far through five games, Roberts has been on a different level, playing the best football yet during his high school career, showing improved arm strength and pocket awareness. He is as steady as they come at quarterback in this state and so far on the season, the future Vanderbilt Commodore has played efficient football, leading his Red Raiders team to a 4-1 start. Muschamp has a bevy of weapons to throw to, so I expect his numbers to inflate further as the year goes along as well as place his team in the mix for back to back D2-Class AAA state titles.
