This Blue Tornado ball carrier had a breakout senior year where he led the D2-Class AAA ranks in rushing while also being that key piece towards McCallie’s 2023 title run. McMahan was near unstoppable by the end of the season where the 5 ’11 running back played on another level, running around and through defenders for 1,697 yards on his way to 28 rushing touchdowns on the year. McCallie had a balanced team last season on both sides of the ball but I believe McMahan was the defining factor behind the Blue Tornado’s championship run, which is a big reason behind achieving this top honor.

Coming off leading his McCallie team to the D2-Class AAA state title, McMahan is one of the hottest backs in the state when it comes to buzz and building his stock but after the 1st signing day, this Chattanooga area offensive talent remains uncommitted. The Blue Tornado ball carrier is very tough to bring down due to his lower body strength and angry demeanor. McMahan is a well balanced runner that should generate more interest over the next month and obtain some new offers because this guy is too good to continue going unnoticed. UT-Martin offered a few months back and they may still be in play but McMahan is open and ready to hear from all interested parties.

McMahan burst onto the scene in a big way this year and by the way he played throughout the Fall season, his stock here at PRZTN had to rise because I see a physical, well balanced back with deceptive speed that can work well on the G5 level. The Blue Tornado senior took over the lead role in the McCallie backfield this season and almost dominated his position and each defense he went up against. McMahan showed up big in some of the biggest games this year by displaying his great initial burst and his ability to run through defenders then quickly get into open space. He has excellent feet and vision too. McMahan has a great feel for finding open creases to continue down field. His recruitment has yet to really take off but I could definitely see him being a late riser that D1 programs take a look at before the February signing day.

A powerful runner with athleticism and great vision, McMahan is having a breakout senior year that has placed him on the recruiting map. The Blue Tornado running back has taken over the lead role at McCallie and seized that opportunity by running around and over opponents while showing desire and passion when carrying the football. This guy runs hard and when he gets steam behind his pads, McMahan is very tough to bring down on first contact. He’s not just a power runner either, the Chattanooga area offensive talent also shows excellent burst within his senior clips as well as the ability to work well in small spaces, among the mesh. McMahan is a finisher too, meaning he is strong in short yardage as well as dangerous near the end zone. UT-Martin has already offered and I expect several others to get involved very soon with this Blue Tornado talent. Current Stats: 146 carr. for 916 yds & 14 TD’s (6.3 ypc)

McMahan has been a man on a mission this season with possibly his best game yet coming Friday night in the Blue Tornado’s 29-15 win over Brentwood Academy. The McCallie senior back ran for 247 yards on the evening with three rushing touchdowns and was easily the MVP of the game as the Eagles had no answers for him nor good slow him down. McMahan capped off the night in the 4th quarter with a rushing score that saw him display excellent speed then run over defenders, carrying four Eagle players into the end zone. This guy is rising up the rankings in our next update and expect to see his recruitment take a spike up as well over the coming weeks.

showcased great instincts and toughness running in week 4 against Memphis University School. He ended the game with 3 touchdowns and almost 2oo yards rushing. His vision combined with balance and strength to fight for extra yardage stood out immediately. Good feel of people diving at his feet and picking them up to maximize yardage. Decisive to hit the hole, Mcmahan made sharp cuts with fluid hips to make LB’s and DB’s miss at the next level.
