is another player who played a key role in Paducah Tilghman’s 4A State Championship run this season. On defense, Hinton lined up at corner where he was very impressive in pass coverage. He does a great job of reading route combinations and putting himself in a position to make a play on the ball. When the ball is thrown his way, he has shown the ability to break on the pass with perfect timing, finishing his senior year with three interceptions in 15 games. He also showed the ability to provide support against the run, finishing the year with 25 tackles and two tackles for loss. Hinton also played a huge role on offense, catching 45 passes for 655 yards and nine touchdowns while also running the ball 38 times for 429 yards and four touchdowns. He also made an impact on special teams, returning one punt and a kickoff for touchdowns. Vanzale signed with Vanderbilt where I can see him being a true impact player at the next level.

could’ve been included on either side of the ball for this Midseason 4A All-State team as he is a dynamic playmaker on both sides of the ball. However, I really liked what I’ve seen from him on defense at corner. He is very reliable in coverage, especially in zone coverage. Hinton does a great job of reading the quarterback and route combinations then breaking on the ball with perfect timing to make a play. Vanzale has three interceptions through six games. He has also accounted for nine tackles, one tackle for loss, and has made a huge impact on offense. On offense, he has caught 18 passes for 263 yards and two touchdowns while also running the ball 13 times for 194 yards and three touchdowns. Vanzale is committed to Vanderbilt where I can see him making an immediate impact once he gets there.

Strengths – Athleticism and versatility are the first two traits that stand out about Hinton when breaking down his film. The Hurricanes utilize those abilities on both sides of the ball where this Chattanooga area talent could develop at receiver but for me, I like his upside in the secondary where Hinton could play multiple roles, including possibly cornerback. A natural athlete with quick feet and strong instincts, Hinton moves well enough to play on the outside in the college but also work just about anywhere in the secondary as well. This is an aggressive ball player that has no problem coming up and hitting people, so he not only provides good coverage but is also willing to tackle. Hinton is a fluid guy with outstanding feet and he can run. Now he isn’t the tallest of defensive backs but his ability to read the pass and hit people makes him valuable on the defensive back end. I like this prospect as I can see Hinton providing snaps at multiple spots in the secondary with the upside to play cover corner as well as contribute in a major way on special teams.
Development – Adding more strength and weight is something I can see Hinton needing to work on this off-season to enhance his game further. Another area for improvement looks to be his hip movements. Hinton is an athletic guy but if he can gain more agility on his lower base, it could turn him closer into that cover corner area that I feel his potential resides in.
Overview – Overall, this is a good prospect that brings several good traits to the playing field that can be used in a variety of areas. Hinton is a well trained prospect that enjoys the work and competition along with learning the game further to enhance his mind and skill set. I think his best days are ahead of him but at what position? That will be the biggest thing to watch this Fall football season to see how Hinton develops and pushes his game to the next level. I can see upside on the outside for this Chattanooga area prospect but at worst, you can definitely use him at nickel or free safety as well as return kicks and cover them on special teams. Hinton could also become a sneaky Mr. Football candidate this season due to his team’s need for him on both sides of the ball.

has 613 yards receiving in his 1st 6 games of the season for East Hamilton High School. Good burst and field vision, Hinton makes big plays with the ball in his hands and gets a bunch of designed touches within his offense. Good suddenness off the line of scrimmage, he will create separation with athletic ability and shows nice body control to adjust at the catch point.

leading the way and this rising junior who might be better and someone with tons of back end versatility. Hinton is an athletic guy that plays an aggressive style of game along with the range and closing speed to play cover corner, nickel back or safety on the collegiate gridiron. This season as a junior, Hinton will be given more responsibility and expected to dominate his position and if he does so, watch his recruitment take off because he brings too much value for this Chattanooga area defender to stay under the radar much longer.
