Shannon returns to the Kentucky Future Stars again this season as probably the most experienced quarterback on the roster, bringing leadership, confidence, and valuable game experience to the offense. A returning standout for the program, Shannon has continued to develop each season and has consistently proven himself as a dependable field general. His football IQ and understanding of the game allow him to make smart decisions under pressure. This comes as no surprise as Shannon also carries a 3.9 GPA in the classroom. His strong fundamentals help him stay composed in the pocket. Shannon’s growth has been recognized across the state, earning honors such as being selected to the KYMSFA D2 Regional Player of the Year Honorable Mention Team in both 2024 and 2025. Those accolades reflect both his production and the respect he has earned from coaches and evaluators throughout Kentucky middle school football.

Physically, Shannon possesses the ideal frame and build for the quarterback position, giving him the tools to continue progressing at a high level. He throws with solid mechanics, shows good touch on intermediate passes, and demonstrates the ability to command the offense with poise and maturity. His veteran presence will be a major asset for this year’s Future Stars squad, especially with younger players looking to him for leadership and stability. Shannon combines toughness, preparation, and natural quarterback traits that make him one of the more reliable signal callers in the region. As he continues to refine his game, he has the potential to be one of the key leaders and playmakers for Kentucky Future Stars this season.

Shannon out of Paducah Tilghman is a highly athletic prospect who brings a natural playmaking ability to the field. At 5’11”, 180 pounds, he has a solid frame for his age and uses it well in combination with his quickness and fluid movement. His recognition and earning KYMSFA 8th Grade D2 Regional Player of the Year Honorable Mention in both 2024 and 2025 speaks to his consistency and impact. Shannon’s athleticism shows up in all phases, allowing him to make plays in space and stand out among his peers.

Shannon separates himself with his versatility and continued development through competitive programs like KY Future Stars (2025, 7th Grade). He plays with confidence and a natural feel for the game, showing the ability to react quickly and adjust on the fly. Brody Shannon Brody Shannon 5'11" | 180 lbs | QB Paducah Tilghman | 2030 KY emerged as one of the most polished quarterbacks in the tournament, showcasing an excellent arm and the ability to deliver a consistently tight, accurate football. He looked completely natural in the pocket, throwing with confidence and rhythm while displaying touch on deeper passes. Shannon’s connection with familiar target Maxie was evident, as the two regular-season teammates linked up for a touchdown in the consolation game—an example of both chemistry and execution. His poise and passing ability made him a steady offensive leader and a constant threat through the air.

After falling 16-0 to eventual champions Region 2 in the opening game of the tournament, Region 1 snapped back in the consolation game with with a dominating victory over Region 3 by the score of 32-6.

While his only TD pass came in the third quarter of the consolation game, Brody Shannon Brody Shannon 5'11" | 180 lbs | QB Paducah Tilghman | 2030 KY ‘s arm talent was on full display throughout the weekend. Shannon threw a number of nearly flawless darts to his WRs, yet also displayed soft touch on deep balls. I was very impressed with his progression through his middle school career and feel he has clearly established himself as one of the top signal callers in the Kentucky 2030 class.

He flashed his arm talent during Kentucky’s second drive, which bridged the first and second quarter. On the opening drive of the second half, Shannon had his most productive series. Following a beautiful 20+-yard pass to Colt Sturgill Colt Sturgill 5'11" | 157 lbs | WR Northern Pulaski | 2030 KY (listed above) that brought the ball into Tennessee territory, Shannon operated a nearly textbook RPO and scampered for 10 more yards on the very next play.

Additionally, there were some definite drops and a few balls that looked catchable from up in the box–which were out of his control. At the end of the day, I came away liking what I saw in the Paducah QB.

Some new blood joining this 2030 class on the 7th Grade Kentucky Future Stars team, Brody Shannon Brody Shannon 5'11" | 180 lbs | QB Paducah Tilghman | 2030 KY was selected for the squad after a very strong season with the Pudcah Blue Tornado. Shannon helped guide the team to a pair of playoff wins, before bowing out in the Region 1 Championship game to eventual semi-finalist Bowling Green. Shannon has a very strong arm and should be able to put his strong arm on display with a talented group of Wide Receivers at his disposal.
