Throughout the entire 2024 season, Pickett III was nearly unstoppable for his Warriors offense where he did just about everything. This dynamic senior playmaker led his Marion Co. offense in total offensive yards where he rushed for 797 yards and 18 touchdowns while also handling business outside at receiver. Pickett produced 48 receptions on the year for 934 yards and 17 scores. He totaled 35 total touchdowns on the season, doing so in two different ways. His performance and play during the 2024 season was absolutely critical behind the team’s Class 2A championship run. Pickett is also still available at the moment of writing this and I believe he would be a steal for whoever he signs with.

Pickett led the 2A level in receiving throughout the 2024 season while being his team’s most dynamic game changer where he was asked to do a lot within the Warriors offense. Capping off his high school career as a state champion, Pickett had a sensational senior year where he caught 48 passes for 934 yards and 17 touchdowns while also being a force running the ball. The Warriors playmaker carried the rock 94 times for 797 yards and 18 scores, producing a grand total of 35 overall touchdowns. His play was absolutely critical in the team’s “Gold Ball” run last Fall and someone that will be hard to replace next Fall.

The most athletic playmaker on the field Saturday afternoon will be this two-way talent that could prove to be the game changer that leads Marion Co. to victory. Pickett is a dynamic ball player that has the speed to cause issues for Milan’s defense. If he is able to go-off, the Warriors could be standing in the winners circle, taking a “Gold Ball” back to campus.

Back in the off-season, Pickett began his rise up the recruiting charts with strong camp action but continued the play this Fall where the Warriors playmaker showed why he is a legit college prospect. Pickett is a two-way talent that could develop at receiver or defensive back but I and college coaches are liking him for offense. His upside in the slot is superb because Pickett is a natural athlete that can run! He is also a solid route runner that should improve further in that area in college. Currently a Mr. Football semifinalist, Pickett is a dynamic ball player that could sneak his way into the D1 ranks before it’s all said and done.

An elite playmaker that is destined for the college level, Pickett is an electric ball player that can take over a game due to his natural athletic abilities and could be a big difference in the Warriors winning or losing in the coming playoffs. Opposing teams will keep their eyes glued on this East TN talent because if Pickett is allowed to go off, the Warriors could be advancing. This is a game changing prospect that will certainly be key in the team’s overall success and potential at making it to Chattanooga for the 2A state championship.
