West Virginia February Recruiting Report

I expect that number to grow over the next few months before his senior season as more D1 eyes appear to be on this loaded 2025 class in WV. Giacomo has received interest from other D1 programs such as Maryland, Miami (OH), and Columbia, and I would expect more G5 schools to jump in with an offer sooner rather than later. He's a no-doubt D1 prospect, but the thing to watch with Giacomo is whether P4 schools will pull the trigger on an offer. He made a big jump from his sophomore year to his junior year and is growing into his new linebacker role well both physically and developmentally. The second 2025 prospect to receive his first D1 offer from App State in February was Giacomo's teammate and positionmate [player_tooltip player_id='908984' first='Guner' last='Flores']. Flores also picked up a second D1 offer from FCS Eastern Kentucky, but I believe his floor is G5 just like Giacomo. Flores is a bigger linebacker than his teammate and currently ranks as the #3 LB in the 2025 class. I'd expect his state ranking to increase during the summer rankings update, and he may jump up to a top 2 LB spot as well. Already in the Top 5 of 2025 DBs in our rankings, Nida will climb even higher in the rankings during the summer update, especially for his state ranking. His athletic traits are off the charts so it's no surprise why D1 schools are interested in him. Nida is likely a D1 baseball prospect as well if he decides he wants to go that route instead at the next level. We aren't too big to admit that we missed on his rankings as we strive to be the first to identify D1 prospects before anyone else. We simply didn't watch enough of his 12-minute junior highlight tape before getting to his DB film or he'd have ranked much higher in our last update. We'll also be switching him from WR to DB in the rankings so pay no attention to his current rankings as he'll likely rank inside the Top 20 in the summer update. FCS Eastern Kentucky gave Gue his first opportunity at the next level and he'll likely be someone who sees his stock rise even further during his senior season. Gue is an exciting and intriguing prospect with high upside but what position will he end up at? He's a bit of a DE/OLB hybrid but with 6'3 220 size and a big frame, Gue may eventually grow into a pure DE when it's all said and done. He's another prospect who will see a big jump in the rankings and was just a miss by us during our last round of evaluations. Bigelow ranks inside our 2025 Top 10 and is currently the #1 DL in the class. We're still big believers of Bigelow who may not have received a FBS offer yet like some of his fellow 2025 counterparts in the state but they should be coming. He just keeps growing and growing and it's hard to tell where he'll eventually end up in several areas and how high his ceiling really is. There's just too much talent and ability there for bigger schools to pass up. I think G5 is still his floor and will continue to pound the table for those programs to offer him. Abercrombie is making the case to be considered a Top 10 prospect in the 2025 class and may just find himself there in the summer update. WVU seems to have their eyes on him right now too and it wouldn't surprise me if they end up offering him down the road. Three more P4 schools threw their hat in the ring for his future services with UCF, Syracuse, and Kentucky all offering Parks. He's been a P4 caliber prospect since his first day of high school and will have his pick of any school in the country by the time he's a senior. The who's who of college football has mostly already offered the 6'5 sophomore including schools like Alabama, Penn State, Florida State, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Florida among others. The Highlanders have plenty of other D1 talent in their program so the extra eyes benefited Sack even more with Old Dominion and Eastern Kentucky adding to his already long list of D1 offers in February. While he's a no-doubt D1 prospect, it will be very interesting to see how Huntington uses him in 2024 with an already loaded RB and WR room which Sack has performed well at both positions in the past. The Vikings must think as highly of Lowe as we do and more programs are sure to offer him over the coming months. He currently ranks as a Top 40 player in the 2025 class and the #4 ranked RB after a hugely productive junior campaign for the state runner-up Tigers. Lowe rushed for 1,700 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2023 and will look to bring the Princeton program their first-ever state championship in 2024 after moving down a class to the new AAA. We are very high on Guilliams placing him inside the Top 20 of the 2026 rankings and the #5 OL spot in the 2026 class. We said he had D1 potential in our evaluation of him back in January and EKU took our advice. More D1 schools are sure to jump on board with future offers but Guilliams got the first one out of the way early on which is a great sign for his future outlook. Dues adds the FCS offer to his already long list of D1 offers that include the likes of Marshall, Miami (OH), Toledo, and App State. The next step in his recruitment journey will be to join big brother and WVU commit [player_tooltip player_id='450987' first='Tyshawn' last='Dues'] with some P4 offers. The younger Dues has the bloodlines and athletic ability to warrant P4 attention especially as he continues to add size and I expect him to receive some serious interest from programs at that level in the future.
