2025 Princeton RB Marquel Lowe Marquel Lowe 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Princeton | 2025 State WV has been steady this season for the Tigers through six games and is deserving of much more college looks.
Lowe has rushed for 600 yards and 12 touchdowns so far this season while averaging 11 yards per carry in many shortened games due to score. He’ll be a stock riser after the season in our final 2025 rankings update and should be getting D1 attention. Lowe is one of the more complete backs in this class who can run east-west just as well as north-south while also being able to slide out to receiver and run routes. He has homerun speed and is a threat to score anytime he touches the ball. He is also a real threat in the open field to make defenders miss and is a very hard runner who fights for every extra yard that he can get.

Princeton will lean on 2025 RB Marquel Lowe Marquel Lowe 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Princeton | 2025 State WV heavily again this season after a 1,700-yard junior campaign. He began his senior season with an efficient performance toting the ball 11 times for 114 yards and 3 scores in the Tigers’ 41-12 opening night win over Capital. Lowe looks bigger and stronger this season which should benefit his workload when he’s needed in a higher capacity in future games as Princeton gears up for another long playoff run this season. The added size and strength make Lowe one of the more complete backs in the state who can execute every aspect of the position.

One of the leading rushers in the state from last reason will return to lead the Tigers’ rushing attack again in 2024 with 2025 RB Marquel Lowe Marquel Lowe 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Princeton | 2025 State WV . Although a bit overshadowed by Dom Collins’ huge numbers a season ago, Lowe had himself just as good of a year rushing for 1,700 yards and 22 touchdowns while eclipsing over 2,000 all-purpose yards and leading the team in that category. He’ll spearhead what should be a balanced offense that should be explosive once again with playmakers at every position. Lowe is a well-rounded running back who can be versatile in every task of the position. He has the speed to take it the distance no matter where he’s at on the field and added size this season will only improve his between-the-tackles and short-yardage ability. He’s a threat out of the backfield in the passing game too and has traditional receiver experience in the past too.
Lowe has gotten D2 looks this off-season and should have offers from every D2 program in the state with FCS potential with another big year.

his first collegiate offer in February. The Vikings must think as highly of Lowe as we do and more programs are sure to offer him over the coming months. He currently ranks as a Top 40 player in the 2025 class and the #4 ranked RB after a hugely productive junior campaign for the state runner-up Tigers. Lowe rushed for 1,700 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2023 and will look to bring the Princeton program their first-ever state championship in 2024 after moving down a class to the new AAA. Lowe is a quality all-purpose back as well catching 16 passes for 308 yards and 6 more scores and totaling over 2,000 all-purpose yards. Lowe has great speed but don’t mistake him as only a scatback as he’ll run through arm tackles and sees plenty of time at linebacker on defense. With the graduation of

Junior running back and linebacker Marquel Lowe Marquel Lowe 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Princeton | 2025 State WV has been nothing short of incredible for Princeton this season and a big reason why the Tigers have found themselves in Wheeling. We’ve written about Lowe all season and to no surprise given he’s rushed for over 1,600 yards and 22 touchdowns this year. He’s also the Tigers’ third leading receiver with 300 yards and 6 more touchdowns while also starting on defense at linebacker. Lowe may be the second-fastest athlete on the team which has some real burners on it and he’s a threat to score any time he touches the ball. For a speedy back, Lowe is also very good at running between the tackles and shows good balance in traffic before emerging and breaking away. He can also make you miss in space and has great acceleration once he’s out in the open.
