A small college linebacker prospect to know this season is 2025 Princeton LB Hezekiah Burnette Hezekiah Burnette 5'8" | 200 lbs | LB Princeton | 2025 WV who had an under-the-radar but solid junior season for the Tigers in 2024. Size hinders his ceiling as a prospect a bit, but Burnette would fit in well at a D3 program if he chooses to continue playing after high school. He plays above his size and gets some good power behind his pads as a smaller statured linebacker. Burnette is at his best getting downhill and shooting gaps as a run-stopping middle linebacker. He’s a high effort player who reads the run well and puts himself in good positions to make plays.

Burnette is worthy of small college looks this season who may be overshadowed by some of Princeton’s high end talent.

Junior Princeton linebacker Hezekiah Burnette Hezekiah Burnette 5'8" | 200 lbs | LB Princeton | 2025 WV was arguably the sneaky difference maker in the Tigers’ semifinal win over Bridgeport when he returned a 97-yard fumble for a touchdown as Bridgeport was about to take a 14-7 lead. That play completely changed the outlook of the game and switched momentum to Princeton before inevitably winning the 73-70 thriller. The 5’9 200 junior has been a consistent presence at middle linebacker for the Tigers this season and a stout player. He may be a bit undersized for a traditional middle linebacker but from seeing a couple of his weight room videos on Twitter he’s a strong 5’9 200. That strength translates to the football field and you can see his power when he makes a tackle. His hustle also jumped out on film and Burnette is always running to the ball and being in the play.
