I was waiting all year for a D1 program to take a chance on dynamic Princeton WR

and sure enough, the state’s biggest institution pulled the trigger just before the early signing period. He put up video game numbers this season for the Tigers before wrapping up the Kennedy and Moss awards. Collins led the way for a Class AAA state championship appearance and showed out in front of WVU Head Coach Neal Brown against Martinsburg at Wheeling Island in the big game. I’m sure getting to see him perform at a high level on the state’s biggest stage solidified a late offer and Collins quickly returned the favor by signing with the Mountaineers in December. Collins will need some development before he’s ready for the P4 level, but his natural speed and athleticism paired with innate playmaking ability will allow him to catch up quickly in those other areas.
Below was our evaluation of Collins this season.

So happy for Dominick to get his late offer from West Virginia. He may be a bit udnersized but he has the speed, route running abiltiies, and production to be an FBS wide reciever. He has consistently been one of the best big play threats in the entire state over the last few years and showed that again this season. He has a great chance to be a big weapon / gadget player for West Virginia and perhaps even a return specialist.

who has been exceptional in his senior season. The 5’9 165 speedster was clocked in the 4.2-4.3 40 range in the off-season and that shows up on film and in person. Collins is coming off of possibly the best individual performances of the season in West Virginia and beyond when he caught 9 passes for 330 yards and four touchdowns against Bridgeport in the semifinal. Collins has an astonishing 1,728 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns this season with one final game to go in his stellar high school career. I have no idea why a D1 college hasn’t pulled the trigger on an offer for him yet but he’s certainly worthy of one. If Collins gets the slightest crease he’s going the distance and there isn’t a player in the state that can track him down from behind.

A D1 school has to offer Princeton receiver

. The 5’10 165 senior is just way too athletic and dynamic to not be a Division 1 prospect. Through the first five games of the season, Collins has caught 23 passes for 581 yards and nine touchdowns for a 25.2 yards per catch average. If Collins isn’t the fastest high school athlete in the state I’ve yet to see the kid that’s faster and that is very apparent on film. You can tell when watching his highlights that he’s just so far ahead athletically compared to everyone else on the field and is moving at a different speed than everybody. Collins was clocked in the 4.2 range multiple times this off-season and I can’t imagine that not being his legit speed.
