No disrepsect to Kent State but I wouldn’t be surprised that in a few years we’re talking about Harris transferring into a Power Five program because the potential is certaintly there for this wide receiver. The 5-foot-11 Harris has consistently been one of the best wide receivers in the state over the last few years and will finish the 2024 recruiting cycle as our No.1 WR and our No.5 player overall. He’s an outstanding talent from top to bottom with quality size at 5-foot-11 and 170-pounds, he’s conssitently added weight throughout his high school career. That being said, Harris is a versatile athlete who can lineup anywhere you need him to whether that’s out wide, in the slot, or even in the backfield. He has the speed and explsovieness in his game to stretch the field and is extrmeely dangerous in space. Shows good vision, body control, and awareness and most improtantly is a consistent pass cather. Kent State tends to identify wide reciever talent and maximize that talent almost better than anyone at the Group of Five level and Harris could very well be the next in when it comes to the Flashes.
Highlights
Another prospect who has consistently been one of our top wide receivers with every update, Robinson batteled it out with Harris for the top spot consistently. He very easily could’ve been No.1 in this update as well. That being said, the West Vriginia talent has quality size much like Harris and is a tremendous route runner, the best in the state in that regard and that route running allows him to gain terrific seperation on a consistent basis against defensive backs. He also has the speed and athleticism as well to be a playmaker once the ball is in his hands. Always seems to be making big plays and we expect to become a nice piece of the Mountaineers offense once he arrives in Morgantown.
So happy for Dominick to get his late offer from West Virginia. He may be a bit udnersized but he has the speed, route running abiltiies, and production to be an FBS wide reciever. He has consistently been one of the best big play threats in the entire state over the last few years and showed that again this season. He has a great chance to be a big weapon / gadget player for West Virginia and perhaps even a return specialist.
No wide receiver in the state uses their size better than Demonte Martin Demonte Martin 6’3″ | 185 lbs | WR Hedgesville | 2024 State WV . He uses every single inch of his 6-foot-3 frame and uses it well, creating a big physical wide receiver. Very good when it comes to batteling it out for 50/50 balls but also possess very good body control and awareeness when going up for those 50/50 balls. Somone will be getting a big-time steal in Martin.
Hairston is another big bodied wide receiver who uses his size very well and to his advantage. Always is creating mismatches agianst opposing cornerbacks and I expect that to continue at the next level, has the explosiveness and athelticism to go along with that size, making 50/50 balls and contestted catches that much tougher for opposing cornerbacks to try to knock down or come away with.
A superb atlhete, McNeely has great size at 6-foot-4 and has very good athleticism to go along with it with a ton of explosion in his game. Shows quality route running skills, awareness, and vision as well. As he gets closer to a finished product,. McNeely has quite a high ceiling that he can hit. Committed to VMI which is a nice landing spot for him and shuold be a great fit in their offense.
Feil has great size at 6-foot-4 and 195-pounds, could potential play tight end at the next level and be a mistmatch at the position with his speed. Moves well for his size and has good athleticism as well. Intriuging prospect who has plente of growth potential going forward.
We belive that Davis is just scratching his surface and that his best football is still ahead of him. Davis has good size at 6-foot-2 but is a tremenodus athlete with great explosion which you can look at his PR at the high jump at 6’7′, he’s as dominant on the track as he is on the gridiron. As he continues to fine tune in his skillset, he’s going to have an opoprtunity to be a really nice wide receiver at the collegiate level.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the 6-foot-5 wide reciever ends up a tight end at the next level with his size and athleticism where he could be a superb middle of the field and redzone target. Has a nice bit of burst and twitch off the line scrimmage, quality route runner, body control and awarness as well. Strong hands and isn’t afraid to be physical.
Stephens has nize size at 6-foot-0 and has the speed to go with it, with a 4.5 forty-yard dash and 4.31 shuttle time. Good overall athlete and has shown to be a quality route runner, allowing him to create seperation on a consistent basis. Had a productrive senior season as well he was called upon to have a bigger role for Wheeling Park.
