Wheeling Park receiver Mykel Davis Mykel Davis 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Wheeling Park | 2024 State WV received a late D1 FCS offer from Morehead State but will bet on himself at WVU as a PWO. Davis led the Patriots in receiving this season catching 39 passes for 828 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was a WVSWA Class AAA First Team All-State selection and earned First Team All-OVAC honors. Davis has some high-level athletic traits that will give him the opportunity to eventually earn a scholarship for the Mountaineers.

rnWe believe that Davis is just scratching his surface and that his best football is still ahead of him. Davis has good size at 6-foot-2 but is a tremendous athlete with great explosion which you can look at his PR at the high jump at 6’7′, he’s as dominant on the track as he is on the gridiron. As he continues to fine tune in his skillset, he’s going to have an opportunity to be a really nice wide receiver at the collegiate level.

The Wheeling Park Patriots have played just four games but senior wide receiver Mykel Davis Mykel Davis 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Wheeling Park | 2024 State WV has impressed early on. He only had two catches in each of the first two games of the season but is starting to show his high-level potential in the past two games against quality opponents. Davis has caught 14 passes for 296 yards and four touchdowns in four games with a very impressive 5 catches for 124 yards and two touchdown performance in week four against University which earned him a spot on our weekly standouts. Davis had another five catches in their loss to a very talented Steubenville (OH) team and is starting to get in a rhythm with a new QB1 this season. Davis is a freak athlete who jumped 6’6 during his junior track & field season and dunks the ball often during basketball season. Look for him to continue to build on his first four games success the rest of the season.
