He was a great addition to the program last season and should take a step forward in his second year in a vastly different system than he was used to at Cabell Midland. The Marshall commit will pave the way for Huntington’s success this season in hopes of a state title.

He’s a bully on the field and easily moves his man off of the line of scrimmage as if he wasn’t there. Ramsey has strong and powerful hands with clear lower body strength as well to generate force in the running game and when stopping defenders in their tracks in pass protection. He’s a mauling people mover and it’s easy to see why so many D1 programs have been after his services to date.

Another top OL prospect in the state who performed well in the AAAA quarterfinals was 2026 Huntington tackle Mason Ramsey Mason Ramsey 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Huntington | 2026 State WV . He’s been a huge addition to the Highlanders’ program this season after coming over from Cabell Midland and showed why against Wheeling Park last week. Ramsey opened running lanes for teammate Keegan Sack Keegan Sack 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Huntington | 2025 State WV who went for 180 yards and 4 touchdowns in the win. He showed the ability to pull from his left tackle spot as a lead blocker on inside runs. Ramsey added size this off-season and is still adjusting but is developing well nicely along with becoming a leader of that talented OL group.

Mason Ramsey Mason Ramsey 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Huntington | 2026 State WV was another tremendous addition to the Huntington program making the short trip over from Cabell Midland for his final two years. Ramsey moved up to our #1 OL rankings after some movement in the state and placed as a Top 3 prospect in the 2026 class. He’ll sure up the Highlanders’ offensive line which lost our #1 2024 prospect to graduation in Robbie Martin and is a great candidate to take over that empty left tackle spot. His college future may be at guard depending on further growth but Ramsey is a D1 prospect with multiple offers from that level before his junior year has begun. Ramsey is a big physical athlete with the athleticism to be able to bend and move like a D1 prospect does. He’s a powerful athlete with very strong hands and a devastating punch that makes him a well-rounded offensive lineman in his still young career.

More D1 opportunities should come his way this season as he settles in at his new program.

Cabell Midland offensive lineman Mason Ramsey Mason Ramsey 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Huntington | 2026 State WV is still growing into his body but the young lineman is already showing flashes of being another top lineman in the state for the 2026 class. Ramsey saw plenty of varsity time as a freshman for the Knights and performed well in their heavy-run offense. You have to be a tough physical lineman to play in their scheme and Ramsey is just that. He’s already very strong for a young lineman and once he fills out his frame and continues to get bigger he should finish as one of the top 2026 lineman in the state by his senior year. Ramsey is already benching well over 300 pounds and his upside warranted the #6 overall spot in the rankings and the #3 rated offensive lineman.
