2028 Huntington WR/DB Johnathan Garrett is one of the more intriguing additions to the rankings in this update. I got the chance to see Garrett in person this spring at a 7v7 event and came away impressed with what he brought to the field. Garrett consistently flashed playmaking ability and looked comfortable competing against quality competition throughout the weekend. He should provide another weapon for an already talented Huntington receiving corps while also offering value on the defensive side of the ball. Garrett may still be flying under the radar for many around the state, but I would expect that to change over the next two seasons. After seeing him live earlier this year, there is plenty of reason to believe his stock is just beginning to trend upward.

Johnathan Garrett was one of the more impressive first-time evaluations of the weekend. The 2028 prospect from Huntington Highpoint stood out in the three games we watched on day one, showing legitimate two-way value at receiver and defensive back. He plays a physical brand of football, both as a route runner who works through contact and as a defender willing to challenge at the catch point. Garrett showed reliable hands and steady production throughout, and his overall skill set suggests he is poised to make a meaningful varsity impact this fall.
