About Tyler

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a physical, hard-nosed runner with the ability to break tackles and make defenders miss. I have good vision, decisive one-cut ability, and I play with high effort because I truly love the game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring fun, energy, and positivity to everything I do. I care about my teammates and have the ability to motivate myself, stay focused, and work hard to get better every day.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National Honor Society member.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My volunteer experiences have helped me grow as a leader and teammate. Through Night to Shine, Cookies with Santa as Buddy the Elf, and food bank service, I’ve developed empathy, responsibility, and a strong commitment to serving my community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

At five years old, I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome and had to relearn how to walk. Overcoming that challenge taught me resilience, mental toughness, and appreciation for every opportunity I have to compete.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m open to any college that’s a good fit academically and athletically.

He has electrifying potential with the ball in his hands, with very good burst and quickness to be a future game changer on varsity. Long is a natural ball carrier who can escape tackles consistently and shows good vision on film to generate explosive runs. His footwork and change of direction ability are ahead of his age and speak to his future potential as a player and prospect.
