That’s carried over into the playoffs for the Highlanders with a strong round one performance against Hedgesville. King was tailor-made for their new run-heavy offense as a stout middle linebacker who’s physical between the tackles. He did a great job of not allowing runners to fall forward and showcased his strength and power, driving ball carriers backward.

He burst onto the scene as a sophomore, leading the Highlanders in tackles. King is one of many D1-level prospects for Huntington in our eyes, and has a high ceiling as a middle linebacker. He could start seeing offers from that level this season or heading into his senior year with the potential to blow up as a prospect, similar to his senior teammates did previously.

King is a stout, strong athlete who plays the run well between the tackles and can get outside to pursue the ball as well with the capability of dropping into a zone in pass coverage.
