2028 Huntington OL Tripp Setliff returns to West Virginia after spending his sophomore season in Kentucky, bringing another intriguing name back into the state’s 2028 class. We were able to see Setliff multiple times at camps during his freshman year at Huntington and came away liking his long-term outlook. After reviewing his sophomore film, it’ is clear tha’s clear that he’s made progress since then. Setliff looks more developed as a player and should have an opportunity to compete for a starting role this fall on a Huntington team with high expectations. There is still plenty left to prove, especially against AAAA competition, but the potential is there. If Setliff continues progressing and translates that growth onto the field this season, he has a chance to make a significant climb in future rankings updates.

Another young Huntington Highlander offensive lineman to know is Tripp Setliff who also earned Top Performer honors at our Stock Up Showcase last month. Setliff is a stocky athlete right now but has the ideal frame for center which he played on the Huntington JV team this past season. He’ll need to keep developing athletically and increasing his length over time but is a strong and physical blocker which we saw live at the Showcase. Setliff is a tough and tenacious battler who gives max effort every snap and rep which will translate to future varsity success once his body develops more.

All three Huntington big men earned recognition at the Stock Up Showcase yesterday morning with fellow 2028 OL Tripp Setliff earning one of two OL Top Performer spots. The young lineman may not be nearly as big as his teammate and classmate

had some great battles during the camp with both athletes earning their fair shares of winning reps against each other. Setliff even got bloodied during 1-on-1s but didn’t let it shake him up and got right back in the mix after getting cleaned up. He’ll need to continue to make strides athletically, but Setliff impressed with his strength and technique as a young center.
Loved the way 2028 Huntington OL @SetliffTripp competed and battled all camp against some tough and talented DL.
The freshman earned an OL Top Performer spot, got bloodied and finished strong. 💪 pic.twitter.com/gS3g5dxzrg
