He’s another athlete who FCS programs should keep an eye on this fall, but is a definite take for D2 colleges. Mount has an excellent DE frame that can be further molded at the next level and has a high athletic ceiling for the position.

Huntington 2026 DL Braxton Mount Braxton Mount 6'4" | 200 lbs | DL Huntington | 2026 State WV was new to our radar this season and he really flashed a ton of potential as a DE prospect. Mount is a long and athletic prospect with a basketball background who has a high ceiling for the position if he continues to develop. He ranks as a Top 5 DL prospect based on upside and potential and should take a big step forward during his senior year for the Highlanders. Mount’s length and athleticism cause issues for opposing offensive linemen and are the top two traits he utilizes to make plays. Once Mount further learns the technique of the position, his other traits paired with continued development will allow him to become a high-level DE at the college level.

Huntington has a talented 2026 defensive line class and Braxton Mount Braxton Mount 6'4" | 200 lbs | DL Huntington | 2026 State WV adds to that after a strong junior season for the Highlanders. Mount is a long but still lanky athlete with the frame to add significant size that’ll raise his ceiling further. He’s still very much raw but exudes potential as a DE prospect given his length and athleticism. Even while being a bit lighter, Mount got consistent penetration to disrupt passers and shutdown outside runs with his long wingspan. Once his weight catches up to his length, Mount has the potential to be a top defensive lineman in this class.
