is leading the George Washington Patriots in tackles for the second year in a row and is having a strong finish to his high school career.
Giacomo has totaled 82 stops and has forced three fumbles in 8 games as he continues to generate D1 interest this year. He’s a versatile OLB prospect who can do a little of everything with his athletic ability which shows you why numerous D1 programs are after his services. Giacomo pursues the ball at a high level with his speed and quickness and attacks ball carriers with a purpose. His athleticism allows him to drop into coverage efficiently with DB experience in his younger days. Giacomo reads and dissects plays quickly with a high football IQ that should put him on the field early at the next level.

leading the way. Giacomo is a hybrid LB/S prospect with athletic versatility to play either position at the next level depending on what kind of defense his college destination runs. He picked up offers from App State and multiple FCS programs this off-season and recently earned a PWO opportunity with the home-standing Mountaineers of WVU. Giacomo totaled 104 tackles and 2 interceptions as a junior in 2023 as the leading tackler for the Patriots and will be battling it out with teammate

for those honors again in 2024. He performs well in pass coverage as an athletic linebacker who can cover a lot of ground quickly with great pursuit speed. Giacomo has natural instincts for the game and puts himself in great positions to make a play on the ball while performing well in the open field.
He’s inched inside of the 2025 Top 10 over the past year and has been a steady climber in our rankings.

Just a one-spot increase in the spring update, but George Washington LB

cemented himself as a Top 10 prospect in the 2025 class. Giacomo finally earned that pesky first D1 offer from App State back in February with other programs maintaining their interest in him. I fully expect that number to grow over the spring and summer as he continues making college visits and gets in front of college coaches in person. If Giacomo makes as big of a jump from his junior to senior year as he did from his sophomore to junior year I expect he’ll have some options at the next level come signing day. It’s going to be fun to watch the friendly competition between him and fellow 2025 LB

from George Washington proved us right this month with his first D1 offer from App State in early February. I expect that number to grow over the next few months before his senior season as more D1 eyes appear to be on this loaded 2025 class in WV. Giacomo has received interest from other D1 programs such as Maryland, Miami (OH), and Columbia, and I would expect more G5 schools to jump in with an offer sooner rather than later. He’s a no-doubt D1 prospect, but the thing to watch with Giacomo is whether P4 schools will pull the trigger on an offer. He made a big jump from his sophomore year to his junior year and is growing into his new linebacker role well both physically and developmentally. With the athletic traits he has, I think it’s possible he’ll get some P4 looks, but his floor is undoubtedly G5.

makes a big jump in our 2025 Rankings and is now considered a Top 10 player in the class and the #1 ranked LB. Giacomo was previously ranked as a DB but played mostly outside linebacker this season where he led the Patriots in tackles with 104 along with two sacks and two interceptions. He’s gotten bigger and has maintained the athleticism that he had when he was a DB making him an intriguing prospect. While he may not have prototypical linebacker size at 6’0 190, Giacomo could potentially play a hybrid LB/Safety role at the next level as he has quality traits for both positions. That versatility of being able to play in the box or drop into coverage makes him a D1 caliber prospect in our eyes and Giacomo should see some offers from that level in time.

is a safety/linebacker hybrid type of player and could play either position at the next level depending on how his body develops over time. I like him as an outside linebacker who can cover the slot man-to-man but still get downhill and rush the passer and defend the run. Giacomo is a fluid athlete that runs well and is agile which serves him well in pass coverage. He’s put up 10+ tackles in multiple games this season and really has a nose for the ball. Giacomo has also seen plenty of touches on offense this season at receiver which shows you how athletic he really is. He’s been garnering D1 interest and I believe he has the potential and ability to play at that level.
