Battle has a lanky frame but moves very well, showing fluidity in transition and a quick backpedal that allows him to stay connected to receivers. Battle has good burst, quickness, and enough speed to run stride for stride with receivers. He’s also a quality tackler for his build and doesn’t hesitate to come downhill and make plays on the ball underneath. Battle has given the Patriots another athletic presence in the secondary and has been a strong addition to their defense.

The Warriors primarily focused on their running game in 2025, but Battle showcased potential playmaking ability and athletic traits that would translate well in a more passing-centric offense. A new name on our radar this season at receiver is 2027 Riverside WR John Battle John Battle 5'11" | 145 lbs | WR/DB George Washington | 2027 State WV . He’s done a nice job for the Warriors as their leading receiver as they continue to work on that side of the offense. Battle is an explosive athlete with very good quickness and stop-and-start ability that allows him to be an advanced route runner. He can create consistent separation because of those traits and should continue to emerge over the rest of the season if they can consistently get him the ball.
