Originally from North Carolina, Massey came onto our radar this some when he transferred into Winfield and was an immediate game changer. A highly athletic player, Massey was a dynamic dual-threat quarterback for Winfield this season. Massey has the size to be a quarterback, defensive back, or linebacker at the next level. Good athlete who can be slippery with the ball and has a knack for escaping tackles.

Winfield’s new QB1 is transferring in from Wake Forest HS (NC) and should raise the ceiling of the Generals’ 2023 team. The Marshall University legacy picked up an offer from the in-state Thundering Herd back in June which tells you the talent level of the 2024 QB. Massey played in just 5 games as a junior at Wake Forest HS so it’s going to be fun to see just how good he is for his senior season. Massey is a very athletic option and a true dual-threat quarterback that should fit perfectly into Winfield’s offense if they choose to run the same scheme as they did in 2022. We ranked Massey as the 24th overall player in the 2024 class and the #5 ranked QB. As more film comes out and we get to see him in action in WV that number could really increase in our future updates.
