. Dues adds the FCS offer to his already long list of D1 offers that include the likes of Marshall, Miami (OH), Toledo, and App State. The next step in his recruitment journey will be to join big brother and WVU commit

with some P4 offers. The younger Dues has the bloodlines and athletic ability to warrant P4 attention especially as he continues to add size and I expect him to receive some serious interest from programs at that level in the future. He currently ranks as our #2 2026 prospect and #1 DB in the class.

Another 2026 athlete in the class who has already received D1 offers up to this point of his career is fellow Hurricane sophomore

. Dues was a PRZ WV First Team All-State selection this season after picking off 7 passes and breaking up 12 passes as a sophomore for the Redskins. Dues is a great man-to-man coverage corner who possesses great speed and fluidity as an athlete. He’s also very good at playing the ball in the air which resulted in the high amount of interceptions and PBU’s. His play at receiver further proved his high-level athletic traits and showed even more ball skills and playmaking ability. Dues’ release off the line on offense is extremely quick and that translates to his play at DB with high pursuit and recovery speed. He has steadily increased in size and is beginning to physically mature more which will aid his game even further. I’d expect to see him add to his number of D1 offers in the next two years and should be a G5 prospect at the very least.

already picked up two Division 1 offers as a freshman last season and has continued to be impressive during his sophomore campaign. Laron is the younger brother of Tyshawn who recently committed to West Virginia University as a receiver so the Dues family has the athletic genetics to be high-caliber players. Laron has continued to get bigger and is now listed at 5’10 170 which will only raise his ceiling higher the bigger he gets. He’s been a ballhawk this season and very good in press-man coverage. He’s also flashed his high-level athleticism on punt returns and even sees time at receiver on offense where he can make plays too. You can put Dues on an island and shut down one side of the field which is a great benefit to have for any team and no surprise why D1 schools are already in on him.

Another Hurricane prospect, Dues made an impact for Hurricane on both sides of the ball as a freshman.
A fantastic athlete, Dues shows the ability early on to be a potential at either cornerback or wide receiver.
Dues might only be 5-foot-9 right now but he plays much bigger than his frame thanks to great athleticism. He shows strong straight-line speed with a 4.5 forty-yard dash and appears to has a nice vertical to go along with it. Shows great explosion throughout his highlight tape and is also quite shifty.
Should be a top five player if not higher in our 2026 rankings once they’re released.
