Our #1 ranked defensive lineman in the 2025 class

has helped spearhead a stingy Fairmont Senior defense that is allowing just 6.5 points per game through the first 8 games of the season.
Bigelow is on the shortlist for the Stydahar Award as the state’s top lineman of the season and has been a dominant player for the Polar Bears for multiple years now. He’s an athletic defensive end with the potential to keep growing into an interior lineman at the next level where he has an abundance of D1 offers to this point. Bigelow is a very powerful athlete with great strength and physicality off the end whose quickness off the ball will surprise opposing tackles. He’ll be a steal at the FCS level if he ends up there and should develop into a future high-level college player.

. He’s been a dominant multi-year starter for the Polar Bears and anchors their line on both sides of the ball. Bigelow has picked up quite a few FCS offers to date and a big senior season could have G5 schools ready to pull the trigger on some offers. He’s a physical specimen with high-quality athleticism for a big man, making him a near-impossible high school block. Bigelow has been on a tear this off-season at various camps and a top performer at each of them.
Bigelow is ready to have his best season yet with a special senior season coming up.

added a D1 FCS UPenn offer to his list that also includes FCS Morehead State. Bigelow ranks inside our 2025 Top 10 and is currently the #1 DL in the class. We’re still big believers of Bigelow who may not have received a FBS offer yet like some of his fellow 2025 counterparts in the state but they should be coming. He just keeps growing and growing and it’s hard to tell where he’ll eventually end up in several areas and how high his ceiling really is. There’s just too much talent and ability there for bigger schools to pass up. I think G5 is still his floor and will continue to pound the table for those programs to offer him. It’s still early in the 2025 cycle so they could certainly still come and still expect them to eventually offer Bigelow in time.

remains the #1 ranked DL in the 2025 class but jumps up two spots in the state ranking to #6 overall now. The 6’4 250 defensive end was a unanimous First Team All-State selection by three different publications this season including PRZ WV. Bigelow’s great length coupled with upper-level athleticism makes him a near lock to maintain the #1 defensive line ranking along with his play on the field. He also made a big jump this season as an offensive tackle which has many people believing he could develop into a high-level player at that position potentially as well. Bigelow should see some D1 offers come in before his senior season and I believe his floor is the G5 level.

Fairmont Senior has several high-tier 2025 prospects but junior defensive lineman

may have the highest ceiling of them all. You’ll see him start on both sides of the line for the Polar Bears but his play at defensive end is special at times. At 6’4 and pushing 250 pounds, he has the prototypical size that you want in a defensive end but he’s not just big. Bigelow is a very good athlete for his size and has great short-area quickness. He also possesses violent hands and can be dominant at the point of attack. Once he wins at the line of scrimmage his athleticism becomes even more apparent when chasing down quarterbacks and ball carriers making it very difficult to escape him.

Speaking of 2025 defensive lineman, Fairmont Senior’s

Fairmont Senior | 2025

is currently ranked as our #1 DL in the junior class. The 6’4 250 Polar Bear has been garnering some D1 interest this season and has been on visits to Kent State and Elon. I would say his pass rush is more advanced and developed right now compared to his run defense when he’s on the play side, but his pass-rushing abilities for his age are quite advanced. With his length and athleticism, Bigelow is a nightmare to block one-on-one for an offensive tackle and his chop and rip moves are deadly. He’ll even throw in a spin move during his pass rush after he’s already engaged with the blocker which is fun to watch too. Bigelow has great bend which speaks to his level of athleticism and is a big reason why he’s a very good pass rusher.
