Fairmont Senior’s Jeffrey Cowger Jeffrey Cowger 6'3" | 195 lbs | EDGE/TE Fairmont Senior | 2025 State WV is another athletically gifted linebacker prospect who has primarily played defensive end in high school but worked out as a linebacker at the Combine. Although he’s new to that position, Cowger still did some good things during the camp and was worth mentioning with some of the top linebackers in attendance. He’ll only continue to get more comfortable at linebacker and has a very high ceiling for the position once he gets more reps and coaching.

As expected, Cowger tested very well as he ripped off a 4.65 40 which we saw on film when evaluating him before the event and will greatly benefit his progress as a linebacker prospect. Cowger will develop into a monster off the edge as an OLB at the next level as a natural pass rusher.

Jeffrey Cowger Jeffrey Cowger 6'3" | 195 lbs | EDGE/TE Fairmont Senior | 2025 State WV just debuted inside of our 2025 Top 100 and will put his talents on display at the combine. Cowger recently announced his decision to transfer to Fairmont Senior after a monster junior season at North Marion where he racked up 77 tackles, 14 TFLs, and 13 sacks as a defensive end. We like him as an OLB prospect given his 6’3 180 size and expect he may get reps at both spots at the combine as well as possibly some reps at TE. If Cowger tests as well as we think he will and backs it up in 1-on-1s, he’ll be in line for a rankings boost in the summer update. That will be our question for him as to whether he works out at LB or DE and if he can perform well in pass coverage if he gets linebacker reps in 1-on-1s. Cowger is a very intriguing prospect with a likely high ceiling which we’ll have the opportunity to confirm seeing him live and in person.

North Marion’s Jeffrey Cowger Jeffrey Cowger 6'3" | 195 lbs | EDGE/TE Fairmont Senior | 2025 State WV is a fun prospect to watch with an intriguing future that we liked a lot when his junior highlight tape became available since our winter rankings update. Cowger is an unconventional defensive end for the Huskies at 6’3 180 who is undersized for that position but could make a great OLB at the next level if he wants to be. He’s a three-sport athlete who is also a quality player on the hardwood but I love his future as a football player if that’s what he decides to do. Cowger earned PRZ WV Class AA Second Team All-State honors as a DE last season but will debut in the rankings as a LB prospect given his size. He’s a very good athlete who you can picture coming off the edge as an OLB at the college level and could develop into an elite pass rusher at the next level as he adds more size to his 6’3 frame. Cowger also has plenty of athleticism to be able to drop into coverage to defend the pass as well and also sees time as a TE/H-Back where he has some possibility to play in college as well. He’ll debut as a Top 100 prospect in the 2025 class and the #12 LB but is a prime candidate to catapult higher with another strong season for his senior year.
