Before the season kicks off, we want to put a spotlight on the best individuals across the state heading into this season. Today, we have our official 2026 Preseason All State 1st Team selections. Tomorrow, we will have the 2nd team picks and Friday will feature the 3rd team selections. You can also check out highlights on nearly all of the 1st Team selections on our YouTube channel.

RELATED

- 2026 Preseason All State 1st Team Highlights

OFFENSE

QB - [player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] - Senior - Broken Bow (Oklahoma Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] is the most electric football player in the state of Oklahoma and he's worth the price of admission to check out in person. Howell also has Broken Bow in a position to contend for the state championship this fall. He might also be the favorite for the PRZ-Oklahoma Player Of The Year award.

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='1182029' first='Connor' last='Claborn'] - Senior - Lawton MacArthur
[player_tooltip player_id='1182029' first='Connor' last='Claborn'] is coming off a fantastic breakout season in 2025. He ran for over 2,000 yards and 25 touchdowns and helped Lawton MacArthur capture a district championship. Claborn quickly became one of the top running backs in the state and is firmly one of the top guys heading into the 2026 season.

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='693905' first='Delijah' last='Matthews'] - Senior - Carl Albert (UNLV Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='693905' first='Delijah' last='Matthews'] is coming off a record-breaking junior season in 2025. He was also the Gatorade Player Of The Year and helped lead Carl Albert to another state championship. Matthews is fresh and ready to go for another busy season where he'll look for more records and another state championship.

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='1530080' first='Dom' last='Forbes'] - Senior - Sand Springs (Harding Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='1530080' first='Dom' last='Forbes'] has already shattered every receiving category at Sand Springs and he helped the Sandites capture the ultimate goal last year. They won their first state championship in decades. Forbes has been one of the state's best receivers for the last two years and now, he looks to go out on top with another gold ball.

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='1030447' first='Kailib' last='Dillard'] - Senior - Jenks (Florida Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='1030447' first='Kailib' last='Dillard'] is one of the state's best two-way players. He could be an All State 1st Team selection for either side of the ball. Last season, he emerged as one of the best playmakers in the state at the wide receiver position. The Florida commit turned into an absolute star in addition to being a standout safety on defense.

TE - [player_tooltip player_id='1035103' first='Titus' last='Hawk'] - Senior - Choctaw (Notre Dame Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='1035103' first='Titus' last='Hawk'] is a Notre Dame football and baseball commit. He emerged as a true national recruit following his sophomore season and has continued to elevate his game every time he steps on the field. With Choctaw losing a lot of offensive production to graduation, look at Hawk as the team's ultimate safety blanket offensively.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1530067' first='Cooper' last='Hackett'] - Senior - Fort Gibson (Oklahoma Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='1530067' first='Cooper' last='Hackett'] is the toughest player to include on any preseason list. On one hand, he's arguably the state's best prospect and one of the best OL prospects in the country. But there's a chance that Hackett doesn't play this fall after an offseason surgery. We still think he has earned the honor as one of the state's best players.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='528027' first='Kaeden' last='Penny'] - Senior - Bixby (Oklahoma Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='528027' first='Kaeden' last='Penny'] has been a dominant force on both sides of the line of scrimmage for the last several seasons. He's been a huge piece to Bixby's success in the last two seasons specifically. Whether he's on offense or defense, he's one of the best players in the state and could be on this 1st Team for either side of the ball.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1101282' first='Lincoln' last='Torres'] - Senior - Lincoln Christian (Harding Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='1101282' first='Lincoln' last='Torres'] will be a three-year starter for Lincoln Christian this fall and also saw plenty of playing time as a freshman. He's been a critical part of their three consecutive state titles and 42 straight wins. He will also start for the Bulldogs on defense and be a very impactful player on defense.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1680645' first='Malachi' last='Hardiman'] - Senior - Mount St. Mary
[player_tooltip player_id='1680645' first='Malachi' last='Hardiman'] is in a similar position to Torres at Lincoln Christian. Hardiman is an absolute force on both sides of the line of scrimmage. He probably could have made the 1st Team on either side. But for now, we'll slot him in on the offensive line, where he sets the tone for the Rockets up front.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='527903' first='Odaefe' last='Oruru'] - Senior - Jenks (Arkansas Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='527903' first='Odaefe' last='Oruru'] firmly established himself as one of the state's best offensive linemen last season. You could see flashes of him being that monster on the Jenks offensive line during his sophomore season. Everything came together last year and he was an outstanding left tackle for the Trojans and cornerstone piece to their line.

DEFENSE

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1171159' first='Kyng' last='Golston'] - Senior - Broken Bow (Tulsa Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='1171159' first='Kyng' last='Golston'] is making the move from Valliant to Broken Bow and expects to help the Savages to the top of the mountain in Class 4A. Golston has been a force of nature on the line of scrimmage since his freshman season. He's one of the best DL in the state and will also play some tight end for Broken Bow this fall.

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1035135' first='DaWayne' last='Jones'] - Senior - Owasso (Kansas State Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='1035135' first='DaWayne' last='Jones'] returns to Owasso after two successful seasons at Booker T Washington. Jones gives the Rams a dominant force on the defensive line. He's not the biggest defensive lineman but he has a deep bag of moves that make him nearly impossible to keep out of the backfield and now he looks to dominate 6A-1 football.

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='473952' first='Joseph' last='Graves'] - Senior - Booker T Washington (Kansas State Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='473952' first='Joseph' last='Graves'] returns to Oklahoma and immediately resumes his spot as one of the more dominant defensive linemen in the state. Graves spent last year at IMG Academy in Florida but before that, he was a game-wrecking defensive tackle with the Hornets in 2023 and 2024. He should pick up right where he left off.

LB - [player_tooltip player_id='480317' first='Cain' last='Brackney'] - Senior - Bixby (Indiana Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='480317' first='Cain' last='Brackney'] was an instant impact player in Oklahoma last year after moving in from Colorado. He played his junior season at Union but shortly after the season, he moved over to Bixby. He becomes the latest Bixby linebacker that you need to keep an eye on this season. He'll also play some running back this fall.

LB - [player_tooltip player_id='473879' first='Case' last='Alexander'] - Senior - Washington (Penn State Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='473879' first='Case' last='Alexander'] will be a four-year starter when Washington kicks off the season this fall. He's been one of the state's top tacklers for the last three seasons and just continues to get better and better. He's one of the state's best prospects and will also see plenty of playing time on the offensive side of the ball.

LB - [player_tooltip player_id='216547' first='Colton' last='McComb'] - Senior - Edmond Memorial (Kansas State Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='216547' first='Colton' last='McComb'] has been one of the best linebackers in the state's largest class since his sophomore season. McComb now shifts his focus to his senior season where he will look to lead the Bulldogs back to contending in 6A-1. In addition to being a game-wrecker on defense, he'll also play plenty of offense this fall.

LB - [player_tooltip player_id='1176238' first='Israel' last='Hammons'] - Senior - Choctaw (Oklahoma State Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='1176238' first='Israel' last='Hammons'] is one of the more versatile defenders that returns this season. Hammons is one of those special players that can be plugged in just about anywhere and he's going to play at a very high level. But Hammons feels like a natural linebacker that is equally devastating in the run game or dropping back in pass coverage.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='1330007' first='Daniel' last='Yebit'] - Senior - Yukon (TCU Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='1330007' first='Daniel' last='Yebit'] is a 2027 prospect that has slowly but surely showed that he belongs among the state's best in the 2027 class. Yebit is an absolute star on both sides of the ball but we've slotted him in at DB as he's a P4 prospect for defense. He's one of the absolute best athletes in the state heading into this season.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='1297663' first='Gabe' last='Osborne'] - Senior - Mustang (Oklahoma Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='1297663' first='Gabe' last='Osborne'] has firmly established himself as one of the top athletes in the nation and not just Oklahoma. At the start of his high school career, Osborne believed his future was on the basketball court. Three years later he's considered one of the very best football players in the country and looks to lead Mustang this fall.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='485526' first='Noah' last='Gillespie'] - Senior - Broken Arrow (TCU Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='485526' first='Noah' last='Gillespie'] emerged last year as one of the best cornerbacks in the state. He moved to Broken Arrow from Union last summer and became a critical part of one of the best secondaries in the state. Gillespie is a lockdown corner that has the ability to shut down his side of the field and make some plays while doing so.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='478124' first='Semaj' last='Stanford'] - Senior - Broken Arrow (Oregon Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='478124' first='Semaj' last='Stanford'] is one of the state's best overall players and has been for a long time. He started for Jenks as a freshman and sophomore and continued his dominant play last year with Broken Arrow. He's one of the nation's top DB prospects but whether it's offense, defense or special teams, Stanford is truly special.

KICKER/ATHLETES

K - [player_tooltip player_id='1837947' first='Gray' last='Evans'] - Senior - Moore
[player_tooltip player_id='1837947' first='Gray' last='Evans'] was one of our All State kickers at the end of the 2025 season. As a junior, Evans was one of the top kickers in the state and there's no reason to think that he won't be right back in that same position again this season. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Evans on the first team at the end of this season as well.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1324250' first='Dax' last='Owens'] - Senior QB/DB - Davis
[player_tooltip player_id='1324250' first='Dax' last='Owens'] will be a four-year starter as Davis looks to contend for the state championship this fall. He helped lead the Wolves to a state title as a sophomore. He runs their option offense to perfection at quarterback and turns around as the captain of the defense. Owens is definitely one of the best athletes in Oklahoma.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1035154' first='Kaleb' last='Blackwolf'] - Senior RB/DB - Del City (NSU Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='1035154' first='Kaleb' last='Blackwolf'] is the perfect example of an all purpose athlete because he's played a ton of positions in the last several years. Whether it's offense, defense or special teams, Blackwolf has earned his spot as one of the best players in the state. He'll be one of the more productive players in Oklahoma this fall.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1328118' first='Kamieon' last='Compton-Nero'] - Junior QB/WR/DB - Owasso
[player_tooltip player_id='1328118' first='Kamieon' last='Compton-Nero'] has already firmly established himself as one of the state's best overall athletes. Since his freshman year, he has been making highlight plays look very easy. But after leading Rejoice Christian to back to back state championships, he will face a new challenge this fall in 6A-1 after joining Owasso this offseason.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1524935' first='Landen' last='Griffith'] - Senior QB/DB - Talihina
[player_tooltip player_id='1524935' first='Landen' last='Griffith'] comes into 2026 looking to lead Talihina back to the state title game for the third straight year. After a Runner Up finish in 2024, he helped lead Talihina to gold in 2025. The numbers he put up last season are out of this world and if he improves on them this fall, it'll be one of the best statistical years in state history.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1633137' first='Lane' last='Simpson'] - Junior WR/DB - Cushing
[player_tooltip player_id='1633137' first='Lane' last='Simpson'] is another good example of the “athlete” designation on an All State team after a breakout sophomore season. He emerged as one of the better playmakers in Class 4A at the wide receiver position and then an absolute ball hawk on defense. There's no reason to think that Simpson won't be one of the top two-way players in the state again this fall.
