is one of the best linebackers in the state and he started proving that in 2024. McComb has always impressed us at various camps and 7v7 tournaments and then he hit another gear in 2024. He became one of the top linebackers in Class 6A-1 and college coaches started taking notice. In the last two months, McComb has absolutely blown up, becoming one of the top linebacker prospects in the state with offers from all over the country. He was one of 6A-1’s leading tacklers and should be at the top of the list again this fall. And don’t overlook the impact McComb can have on offense this season.

climbs into the top ten in this latest update and is right behind Alexander at the linebacker position. We’ll be honest, McComb was going into the top ten in this update no matter what but it makes it a lot easier to defend when he’s picking up D1 offers every other day. McComb’s recruitment has absolutely exploded this month and shows no signs of slowing down. After we watched McComb in person last fall, we were convinced he was one of the top linebackers in the state’s 2027 class. He’s a tackling machine and is always around the ball. And in the last month, McComb has been proving he belongs with really strong testing numbers to go with the film that shows he’s one of the top guys in the state.

and thank us later. McComb is knocking on the door of being a top ten overall guy in the state’s 2027 class. We were sold after watching him in person, halfway during his sophomore season. Going against a really talented offense, McComb was everywhere on the defensive side of the ball and gave the opponent a lot of problems. McComb is another example of a linebacker that has shown plenty of value lining up in other positions, specifically on the offensive side of the ball. But for now, we really like the Edmond Memorial standout on the defensive side. There is a lot to like about his game. Throw on the film, look at the production against high level competition and you’ll see what we’re talking about. He’s criminally underrated right now and that should change very soon.

is a 2027 prospect that we are incredibly high on moving forward. And here’s another example of how important it is to watch these prospects in person to really get a full evaluation. We caught McComb in a game last month and he was absolutely dominant on the defensive side of the ball. We’ve had McComb listed as an athlete in the past and he still plays offense but when we watched him in person we were blown away with his abilities at the linebacker position. And with his size and style of play, we were reminded of the top rated linebacker in this class. McComb is definitely on the rise right now and could continue moving up.

is a very good football player. Now, the biggest question we have about him and his game is how and more importantly WHERE does it project to the next level. McComb had a strong freshman season and then carried that momentum into the offseason. He performed really well on the 7v7 circuit and at our camp earlier this year. Now, he’s going to go into his sophomore season with a lot of confidence. Whether it’s on offense or defense, we think that McComb has the potential to be a major impact player for the Bulldogs this season.
