Lawton MacArthur’s Connor Claborn Connor Claborn 5'8" | 165 lbs | RB MacArthur | 2027 State OK is near the top of the list for breakout stars from the 2025 football season. He’s in the same class (5A) as Matthews at Carl Albert so his 2025 season might have flown under the radar. But there aren’t many running backs in the state, regardless of class that had more yards than Claborn did last fall. We’ve liked his game ever since his sophomore year and we are fired up to see what he looks like this fall. He’s been hard at work this offseason to back up what was a terrific junior season. And the Highlanders are going to be breaking in a new quarterback so that will open the door for even more carries for Claborn.

Lawton MacArthur running back Connor Claborn Connor Claborn 5'8" | 165 lbs | RB MacArthur | 2027 State OK was a player that we were interested in after watching him in person prior to his sophomore season. This year, he’s absolutely blown up and firmly established himself as one of the top running backs in a loaded Class 5A and he continues to climb the charts in the 2027 class. Claborn has been productive, week after week and the thing that really stands out to us when we look at what he’s done this season is the games against the toughest opponents. Regardless of the result or the scoreboard, Claborn comes to play and has been able to produce against some of Lawton Mac’s toughest opponents this year.

Joining Locklin in the backfield is junior running back Connor Claborn Connor Claborn 5'8" | 165 lbs | RB MacArthur | 2027 State OK and we started noticing him a little over a year ago. Claborn feels like a player that is primed for a breakout season this fall. He has to prove it on the field but things are lining up for him to have a big year. Claborn had to split carries last season but he should be the top guy in the MacArthur running game this season. So after running for a little over 400 yards and four touchdowns last season, we think his production will get a serious boost. And if Claborn has a big year on the ground, that’s just going to open up things more for the Lawton Mac passing game and this offense will really do some damage.
