is not only the top offensive lineman in the latest ranking update but he’s the top overall prospect in the state’s 2027 class. In the span of two years, Hackett has gone from a basketball player that could end up being a decent football prospect to a 5-star OL prospect that has landed in the top ten overall rankings for the entire country. Hackett’s upside of the football field is what separates him from others in this truly elite 2027 class in Oklahoma. College coaches are betting that Hackett’s combination of athleticism and overall measurables will make him the ultimate can’t miss prospect and a guy that will be playing on Sunday in five years. Watching Hackett’s rise over the last two years has been incredibly fun to watch. Hackett switched his commitment from Texas Tech to Oklahoma and has remained loyal to the Sooners.

There isn’t another prospect in the state that has blown up quite like Fort Gibson offensive lineman

has in the last six months. Hackett has gone from a really intriguing prospect in the state’s 2027 class to now being nationally ranked and a guy that could be one of, if not the very top guy at his position in the country. Around this time last year, Hackett was known more for his abilities on the basketball court. Time changes things in a major way. Hackett is very clearly a terrific athlete and he has the size to be an elite offensive tackle. From possibly being a five star prospect to the top guy at his position, Hackett’s upside is through the roof. And like we said, there isn’t a prospect in the state, regardless of class, that has more momentum than Hackett.

made the most significant leap in this ranking update, going from a borderline Top 30 prospect to into the Top 5 at #4 overall. Hackett’s ceiling moving forward continues to get higher. We first heard about Hackett around this time last year but we heard about him as a really good basketball player that’s in a football player’s body. Hackett checks just about every box when it comes to being an elite offensive lineman. His size is off the charts, athleticism is off the charts and he’s just scratching the surface right now on what he could be. And Hackett’s recruitment has absolutely taken off in the last few months and shows no signs of slowing down. The Fort Gibson standout has a very strong argument for being the top prospect at his position and he’s getting a stronger argument for potentially being the top overall guy in the class.

and he’s a guy that we think could keep climbing the rankings the more we watch him. We’ve yet to see Hackett in person and the first time we saw him on film was this summer but it was on the basketball floor. On the hardwood, he’s an athletic big man that can move around very well. On the gridiron, he’s a work in progress but we think there’s definitely a path for him to go from somewhat of an unknown in football to a polished prospect when his high school career comes to an end. The Fort Gibson product is another example of a high-ceiling prospect moving forward.
