doesn’t have some of the measurables that the other guys on this breakdown have but he’s definitely a name you need to know about moving forward. We’ve had the benefit of having Ford camp with us multiple times over the last 18 months and each time, he’s one of the very best at his position. We got another chance to see him in person, this time with the pads on, at a team camp last May and once again, he was one of the best guys at his position. He can’t just overpower guys with his size but he makes up for it with brute strength and technique. He has a deep bag of moves to get through or by an opposing offensive lineman. Ford might not be getting as much attention as some of the elite guys but he shouldn’t be flying under the radar. He’s an absolute monster.

had a very successful freshman season for the Hornets. Ford would then get on our radar during the offseason at one of our camps. He was a breakout star during our camp in January and we’ve become bigger fans of his game ever since. Ford is an absolute monster on the line of scrimmage and we specifically like what he does on the defensive line. He doesn’t have the prototypical size for a defensive tackle or nose guard but it also rarely matters. His skillset is very advanced and he has a deep bag of tricks to beat his opponents. And what’s scary is he’ll just be a sophomore this fall so he has three more years to get better.

is another name you need to know at that position moving forward. When you compare him to some of the other guys at the position in the class, he doesn’t have that prototypical size that others have. But when you watch him go to work in person or on film, the skill set is off the charts. From strictly a skills and moves standpoint, Ford is already one of the best guys in the class. He’ll have to overcome questions about his size for the defensive tackle position but he is outstanding.

is another 2027 prospect that got on our radar after a really strong showing at the January camp. Ford is a beast along the line of scrimmage and we mentioned it earlier this week, but we absolutely love the defensive line group in the 2027 class already. It’s deep, it’s talented, and Ford is another prospect at the position that will be a monster moving forward.

was that guy. We didn’t know much about Ford coming into Sunday’s camp but he quickly got on our radar. Ford lined up everywhere along the defensive line and he found a way to get into the backfield. Ford is quick, strong and did a great job of learning new techniques to be successful. And we’ll throw this out there as well. Ford doesn’t look like a freshman in high school. Physically, Ford already looks the part and with our first 2027 prospect rankings coming out next week, it’s going to be interesting to see where he stacks up to the rest of the class. Ford is going to be a monster for Hilldale moving forward.
