Howell was simply a cut above the rest of the players on the field. Led an opening drive touchdown that started with the lefty flicking a bomb off a flea flicker. Then a few moments later he was gliding his way into the endzone. It was his shortest TD run of the night, as his two other touchdowns were electrifying long runs. The next touchdown came on a scramble. He dropped back, read the defense, then saw a lane. It was effortless looking as he weaved through defenders, he was only slightly touched once as he pulled away from any Buffalo who tried to tackle him. It’s easy to see why OU values his ability as an offensive playmaker.

has had a stranglehold on the QB1 ranking in the 2027 class for a while now. And while he’s going to be a wide receiver at the next level with OU, that doesn’t change the fact that he’s still the most electric quarterback in the state and arguably the most electric football player in Oklahoma. Howell emerged during his sophomore season and then took his game to new heights as a junior. He helped guide the Savages to the 4A semifinals and now, he looks to lead them to the state championship. Howell can do just about anything with the football in his hand. If he was recruited strictly as a quarterback, he would still end up at a very high level. There’s a reason why we’ve called him the most electric quarterback in the state and there’s no doubt that he’s a special athlete.

has the reputation of being the most electric football player in the state. If you have the chance to watch Howell in person this season, go do it and don’t hesitate. Howell enjoyed a breakout season as a sophomore and then followed it up by being one of the ten best players in the state a year ago, earning a spot as a PRZ-Oklahoma Player Of The Year finalist. Howell threw for over 2,800 yards and 27 touchdowns while adding over 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground. Howell has had all the individual accolades and attention and now he wants to end his career with the ultimate team goal of a state championship.

at the quarterback position for the 2027 class. First off, we stand on this ranking and think that Howell is not only the most electric football player in the state but he is an electric quarterback prospect. But when he gets to the next level, he will move over to the wide receiver position at Oklahoma and we think he’ll do just fine there. Since Howell stepped on the football field during his sophomore season, he instantly became a name to know in this 2027 class. His film is some of the best that we’ve seen in the last few years and he’s one of those players that looks like he’s going in full speed while everyone else is in slow motion. And that’s simply because Howell has another gear that nobody else in the state has. Whether it’s quarterback or wide receiver, Howell is without a doubt one of the best football players in the state.

is hands down the most electric football player in the state of Oklahoma. It began last year and has only continued this season. Howell is the ultimate offensive weapon because it’s almost impossible to contain him and keep him from making big play after big play. Howell is being recruited by programs all over the country and he’s being recruited at multiple positions. By the time it’s all said and done with his high school career, Howell is going to be able to sign with almost anybody and pick which position he wants to play at the next level.
