Junior Kaeden Penny Kaeden Penny OL/DL Bixby | 2027 State OK has firmly established himself as one of the top offensive linemen in the state. At this time last year, we were writing about Penny more on the defensive side of the ball but then he became an outstanding left tackle and would earn All State 2nd Team honors as a sophomore. Penny was becoming a national prospect prior to his sophomore season but there is no doubt now that he’s one of the very best in the country’s 2027 class and not just Oklahoma. Penny is continuing to develop his game and will be the anchor of an offensive line that should be a very talented unit. On that title-winning 2-point conversion, the Spartans ran right behind Penny.

We’ve mentioned this before but it was around this time last year that we were really impressed with Bixby lineman Kaeden Penny Kaeden Penny OL/DL Bixby | 2027 State OK and more for what he could do on the defensive side of the ball. It didn’t take long for that to change. Penny has emerged as one of the top left tackles in the state and is an absolute people mover from that position. Bixby had a really strong offensive line a year ago and the emergence of Penny at left tackle was a big reason behind that. In fact, it was Penny that Bixby decided to run behind on that game-winning two-point conversion in the state championship game. We got another chance to see Penny in person in the spring and he was winning rep after rep with ease. He locks on to an opponent and moves them where he wants them to go.

At this time last year, we were writing about Bixby lineman Kaeden Penny Kaeden Penny OL/DL Bixby | 2027 State OK from a defensive perspective. His recruitment was starting to take off with a handful of offers and he was quickly becoming a name we needed to know about within the state’s 2027 class. Fast forward to now and Penny is the top offensive lineman prospect in the class. Honestly, he would still be a top ten overall guy if he was listed on the defensive side of the ball. But Penny’s stock has risen the most on the offensive line and specifically at the left tackle position. Bixby has spent the last decade winning state championships and churning out D1 offensive linemen. Penny could be the next guy. We know he already has a very high reputation among the Bixby coaches and he checks a lot of boxes as an absolute monster up front.

Bixby lineman Kaeden Penny Kaeden Penny OL/DL Bixby | 2027 State OK was a 2027 prospect that we were fired up to watch this season because we just didn’t know that much about him. Around this time last year, we didn’t know anything about Penny around January of this year, Penny got on our radar after receiving his first D1 offer. We thought that Penny was going to be on the defensive side of the line of scrimmage but after watching him this spring and earlier on this season, it looks like he’s going to be on the offensive line. So for now, we’ve moved Penny over from DL to OL but don’t be surprised if that changes again in the future. Either side of the line of scrimmage, this sophomore has the ability to make it to the next level. But there’s no doubt that Bixby has a great history of producing top offensive linemen.

Bixby sophomore Kaeden Penny Kaeden Penny OL/DL Bixby | 2027 State OK is already a name that you need to know about in the state’s 2027 class. As one of the top prospects already, Penny is more than ready to have an extreme impact on Friday nights. And if this spring was any indication, don’t be surprised if that impact is on both sides of the ball. While Penny first got our attention for what he can be on the defensive side of the ball, Penny was also taking plenty of reps this spring at the left tackle position. If he can help out the Spartans on offense as well, he can really dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. But with Bixby losing almost their entire front seven, his impact on defense will be important.

In the last decade, Bixby has been one of the best programs at producing guys on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Defensive lineman Kaeden Penny Kaeden Penny OL/DL Bixby | 2027 State OK appears to be the next guy up and has the potential to be a dominating defensive tackle for the Spartans. We got a chance to watch him in person this spring and what’s intriguing is his play on the offensive side of the ball at left tackle. He has some really good moves for a guy that we thought was just a dominant defensive tackle. He’s quick and knows how to use his hands. This defensive line group is already pretty deep and Penny is a guy that can not only do that but play offense too.
