It’s not often that we feature an incoming freshman as a player to watch on these team previews. It’s also not often that a program like Bixby has a freshman play meaningful reps right away. But 2030 athlete Maverick Owens Maverick Owens 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH OK is not your typical freshman and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him not only get meaningful reps right away this fall, but that he excels and becomes a name to know across the state immediately. Owens is a terrific athlete and he comes into the high school ranks as one of the more highly anticipated freshmen in the Tulsa area in the last several years. We’ve seen other guys come in with high expectations and live up to them. Owens is the next guy in that group.
